Nice long beach with a great forest walk to get there. Beware of the strong rips, make sure you have a friend or are a strong swimmer.

Could be confused for the tropics on a sunny day. Worth the mission and not overcrowded. The walk through the trees to get there is just about as beautiful as the beach itself!

Such a beautiful Beach well worth the short walk to a large open white sandy beach.Due to the walk it does not get as crowded.The photos speak for themselves. A must fo if nearby!

Great place for a swim and the forest has plenty of sticks to entertain kids. 5/5 stars hopefully it stays like this.

About a 15 minute walk to the beach from the Public park area. You'll get to see the bush and also tall trees while walking. Please stick to the main path. Saw a huge branch fall off to the side.Windy, nice sand, great waves and not a lot of people. Worth visiting.Note that Google maps might lead you here via some private road.... Go to the public park and enter the beach from there...

Highly recommend to visit this place. You will have magical trip through the forest, but you need to be careful, cuz threes and pinecones are poisoned.Stunning shore! If you will ~300 metres to the left from the entrance you can find good spot for naked sunbathing. Definitely want to come again.

Quiet but amazing beaches, only 11km away from Whangamata town. You may be able to harvest some cockles if you are lucky
