I had Dory crumbed, with a very nice house made tartare sauce, but crumb on the Dory made it unnecessary , so had it with the yummy chips. Salad was nice tasty. Will certainly go back

While walking around come across The black stump, very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.Had the beef burger, lots of flavour, if ever in Dannevirke will stop again.Thank you to the staff at The Black Stump.

Friendly staff. clean environment, quiet place. we started with giabatta drizzled with basil oil garlic butter and aioli, We also had lambsfry with mashed potato bacon mushrooms and tomato. very tasty, we enjoyed our meal.

This is the second time we have stopped at Black Stump while passing through Dannevirke and it has easily become a favorite. A warm atmosphere, helpful staff, and great food!

It took them over 45 minutes to get the food on the table. You know,if the result is good, it's easy to forget the waiting. However, my food was mediocre and my wife had digestive problems for two days. That's an absolute no-go. What a shame. The two stars are for the location and service.

The service was good, prompt and polite. The food was delicious and filling. I had the Angus steak (medium rare) and it was perfectly cooked and very tender. This was followed by a triple chocolate cheesecake. I left very full and satisfied.

Super friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Totally enjoyed our meal there. The host was also super welcoming. Coffee was amaaaazing!
