Lakes Edge Holiday Park

Great cabins, warm, comfortable, good bathroom and small kitchen, beautiful view out over Lake Tekapo, short walk to hot pools one way and nice walk to town centre the other way so well situated. Nice small deck on front of cabin. Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there.

We spent two nights there. On the first day, there was a tremendous wind and our tent got damaged. Instead of staying at the tent site, we had to book a room. We started feeling homesick and thought our trip would be ruined, but thankfully,one of the staff, Tim helped us and made a great suggestion. Thanks to Tim, we were able to successfully complete our trip. I would like to express my gratitude to Tim once again.Such a lovely location right on the waters edge ! Facilities were top tier, there were plenty for everyone to use and spread well throughout the park plus Clean and modern.Staff were easy to deal with and Tim, he is awesome!!!Nice spot, lots of good walking tracks. Would definitely recommend!!!!!

Best place in South Island, a very well maintained, super clean toilets and bathrooms , lots of bbq areas, great kitchens. Great and reasonable lake view campground, infact this was my second time I have also stayed in their backpaper lodge and it was just as fantastic. There was a playground for kids , just walk-in distance from hot pools, you might need to carry some utensils of your own as they limited supply. There are 2 big kitchen and 2 toilets at the camp ground, laundry area with washing machine and drier.

We did 2 nights in a powered RV spot. Excellent views, toilet block was clean, accessible bathroom has fold-down change table for infants and is warm.Power and wifi worked fine, but the water froze in the pipes one morning. Came good after a couple hours.Convenient to Hot springs. Can walk to town but it's not right in town.

We stayed here in February and really loved the holiday park. Facilities were clean and tidy, showers were hot (and six minutes for a hot shower is plenty of time) and the views over the lake are just fantastic. You can also enjoy the starry night sky (can't remember the last time I've seen the milky way before we were at Tekapo) and the hike to the observatory starts just around the corner. Staff was also very friendly.

It was a great weekend getaway. Our room was nice and tidy with good heating for the winter evening. The only thing I would change is a bigger and more comfortable couch. Spectacular view of Lake Tekapo with great outside seating.

We camped here for two nights in March. The view, obviously, is amazing, and it was a full moon - absolutely beautiful. Plenty of room on the tent site. The showers & toilets are clean. There was no hot water at all from the shower, & yes, I did follow the instructions. Laundry facilities are good. The kitchen is small for the amount of people staying. It was pretty crowded both cooking and cleaning up.

We enjoyed our stay with a great view of Lake Tekapo. The location is great as the Tekapo Springs and the hiking paths to Mt John are in walking distance. Moreover, it is a good place for viewing the amazing night sky and even the Milky Way is visible. Unfortunately, the kitchen area is quite small and often crowded which wasn’t too pleasant. Furthermore, the air was bad as there are no cooker hoods and some of the stoves didn’t work. Hot water, microwave, fridge, freezer and toaster are available in the kitchen. There were enough showers and toilets which were nice and clean. The showers were limited to six minutes and the water pressure and temperature could be adjusted. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but the kitchen area needs some improvements.

Had a great evening here. The place is relatively new, as far as I can tell, it didn't exist until a few years ago.Hot showers are available (albeit with a somewhat annoying timer-based system). The kitchens (yes plural) are also good with stoves, ovens (traditional and microwave), fridges and freezers available. Right next to the starting point for Mt John Loop Track and Lake Tekapo Hot Springs, and yet still near enough to the village center (4 Square). Great views in the day too. Best of all, I got all these for a (IMO) very reasonable price.One comment though: I was there in June and the kitchen was bustling around dinner. I shudder to imagine how it would be like during the other seasons.
