Mark and the team were great to deal with, gave lots of information to help us make an informed decision about a transmission repair and were flexible when it came to arranging payment.

Audi broke down in Dunedin & was taken to Integrity Automatics and diagnosed as requiring a new transmission. Mark from Integrity was very communicative in all aspects of the repair. Very happy with repair and communications.

For me personally does not provide a good service if any at all. I asked the owner of Integrity Automatics if I could get a quote to get my transmission repaired and was assured that he could do the work. As Christmas was coming up in a month was assured that was no problem. Thinking the work would be done in a week or two I borrowed a friends car until the job was done. After about two to three weeks hearing nothing from the owner I contacted him asking for my quote where I was advised that it would be cheaper for me to buy a transmission myself and he would put it in. The owner of Integrity Automatics then recommended a second hand transmission for me to purchase that he would install. When about to purchase at the dealer selling the transmission I was told it may not be suitable for my vehicle and he recommended I contact the installer. The owner of Integrity Automatics was not available and his mechanic told me that he was the person that would be installing the transmission and not to buy it. He also informed me that even if it was ok he would not be able to install it until after Christmas and that I was way back in a que of other people that were to get their vehicles worked on. Realising that I would not have my vehicle back before Christmas led me to go buy a vehicle at a dealership. Still not having received a quote to put in a second hand transmission from Integrity Automatics I realised that installing a transmission is just a mechanics job as opposed to a specialized rebuild that I was seeking. After putting it out to some mechanics for a quote the dealership I purchased my car from gave me a quote to carry out the work including the transmission price and a warranty for workmanship. On receipt of the quote I realised that if I had purchased the second hand transmission my self and it was not suitable for my vehicle I would not have had a warranty as Integrity Automatics could not be held responsible for the condition of a product I had purchased. Further because Integrity Automatics had my vehicle I felt obliged that Integrity Automatics should get the work involved to install the transmission I purchased and thereby having work completed without a quote I had asked for. Proceeding to Integrity Automatics I asked the owner for a quote where I was presented with a bill for supposed work up to date. I then asked the owner of Integrity Automatics for the quote I had expected and advised that I already had a quote from elsewhere and that if his quote was similar that he would get the job. His quote being over one thousand two hundred more dollars more leading me to believe that his charge to me would have been even more if I had allowed him to carry out the work without a quote.By my paying Integrity Automatics bill for $189.75 just to check the transmission oil to see if the transmission was indeed damaged would follow with my taking legal action for damages due to what I see as them holding my vehicle for ransom if I did not pay the bill.Giving my vehicle back but still pursuing payment for a bill where no value was given by it's existence seems to me a waste of both our time unless taken to it's full course.
