GKR has helped myself and my daughter gain confidence and grow physically and mentally over the past 2 years. The senseis are incredibly supportive and encourage all students to challenge themselves every class. Great teachers, great environment, welcoming space for all ages ❤️

As an adult starting karate GKR is the perfect place! There’s a tonne of classes that you can attend with or without your kids, the senseis all have different ways of engaging you, helping you learn and grow. It takes that initial leap of faith, but you won’t look back. If your focus is strength, fitness, self defence, flexibility…. You will make progress in all these areas! Come join us!!!!

Since I started karate I have been able to kick higher and have more control over some movements. I have also learnt self defense skills that I hope to never have to use. This has helped me with pain aswell as I have scallious and mytonic dystrophy

GKR karate are a great club with fantastic, friendly instructors. They cater for everyone over the age of 5. I love that families can train alongside each other and alongside all the different grades! Huge range of classes available too!

Great place to train Karate. GKR has classes all over Canterbury and they are really family friendly.There's also special events thru the year like glow in the dark and beach Karate.
