The meal we had was really good and well work the price. I was hoping for great food and was still surprised with how good it was. The food and flavors were also a bit more unique than what are offered in most restaurants so we were really pleased to find the place. Service was also incredibly fast and friendly while never feeling hurried.

Excellent place for large groups. We booked the private function room for a group of 16 and there was plenty of space and it was nicely tucked away from the rest of the restaurant and bar. Our waiter was extremely efficient and even arranged for our own music to be played in the room. We opted for a set menu and there was plenty of food for the group (it was all delicious, especially the steak and eggplant dishes) plus the person we had with dietary requirements was so taken care of, the Lulu team even called them few days ahead of the event to confirm what they could and couldn't have and created a bespoke meal for them. This did not go unnoticed! Highly recommend for a large group for events etc.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff! We had oysters for starter and 4 other dishes, pulled duck, pork ribs, tuna and roasted baby carrots to share. Nice combinations of different ingredients, seasonings and herbs that you might find in different cuisines. Lovely experience in general. Will definitely come back :)

The food is so delicious, we loved everything we selected, every dish was well designed and a little bit different. Try the charcoal grilled market fish with house butter, it's fantastic, and the beef brisket on kumara puree was divine. The service was superb; attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable on both the menu and the wine recommendations. The decor was lovely. The restaurant was a tad cold though, one or two degrees warmer and a closed front door would help, but we will definitely be back!

Great interior design, decor and lighting. Food theme is NZ European mixed with Pacific island cuisine. I did not know what to expect when looking through the menu. The food is all about sharing plates. I had the Sunnyside cocktail to start. It was very strong and I was a bit disappointed, especially with the $21 price.The food, however, was better than expected and very tasty. Our table of 4 ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, roasted asparagus, winter veg and slow roasted pork shank. The meats especially were so tender and delicious. For dessert I had the very rich chocolate mousse, which was more like a thick chocolate icing instead of a light mousse. The orange or mandarin served with it helped to break the richness, but it was just too heavy, rich and bitter.The service was good, friendly and attentive. The plates are not cheap but when sharing it makes it more affordable. I'd recommend the food but not the dessert.

We had the most amazing time here. The food was incredible, the service was exceptional, the bar tenders and staff were so friendly and anything we needed they got for us with a smile, they really made the night that much better. I could not recommend this space more. Thank you for providing the best spot, service, and food for our friends' hens. We will definitely be back!!

We went on a Tuesday night for dinner. I think this is more of a weekend night kinda place. Food was expensive for what it is. Cocktails were great. Service exptional.

We had an event booking for the garden bar. When arranging the event staff were so friendly and extremely helpful. On the night the atmosphere was perfect for a private function, service was fantastic, and everyone had a fabulous time, I highly recommend Lulu for your next event.

We're always impressed with the food & drink @Lulubarnz. Their new menu is the most mature & refined yet - drawing heavily on an Oceania / Aotearoa theme & keeping everything fresh & local. The white fish pastrami is unlike anything we've tried before (in fact, all the kaimoana dishes are fantastic), we rate the potato fritters with kawakawa hot sauce, & whether you're into beef short rib or smoked corn 'ribs', there's something delicious here for you! Their bar meanwhile is always popular, with great cocktail options both refined & party ready.
