Amberley Country Estate Retirement Village

Shaping up to be an amazing lifestyle retirement village, with great thought gone in to design, layout, space and villa aspect to the sun. Together with the high standard of build spec being undertaken, I think it will be a great success for those choosing to live there and for the town. There is an option now outside the cookie cutter style of the city retirement complexes, attracting people from outside of the town and those locals who choose to downsize. I believe we will see Amberley community absorb the new residents into the wide range of activities the town has to offer. It is located close to the local supermarket and with future stages of planned growth, will provide levels of care for all retirees. A great asset and a great option.

Friendly Village, nice warm, dry, quiet villas and a really good community feel to the place

The village is well laid out and the staff super helpful. The villas are very well designed and finished. Plenty of storage and positioned for the sun. We are looking forward to moving there. We already live in Amberley and have no wish to leave this friendly small town.

I have just moved into Amberley Estate. There is a friendly team here which look after my every need. The House I have moved into is newly built and very comfortable. There are also double garages and roomy yards with a great outlook gardens. My Villa is well-appointed and is spacious and energy efficient. The town of Amberley is welcoming along with peace and quiet with plenty of activities to keep you healthy.

Our journey so far.We’d initially heard rumours that a retirement village was planned for Amberley, an area we dearly love. Then in early 2022 whilst looking at an aged care publication we noticed the Amberley Country Estate mentioned in a list of care facilities. So we rang the phone number and got to speak to Hamish Lamont. He seemed a bit shocked that we were making enquires as the launch campaign for the project hadn’t yet started. How exciting was that, we may have been the first to make enquires.Hamish sent us lots of information as it became available and we started planning our move to the estate. We’ve chosen to move in to Stage 2 as we didn’t think we could get all our ‘ducks in a row’ fast enough to move in to Stage 1.At present we live an active life and have no need for additional care, however, as we age this can change fast, we’ve seen it happen! Some say to us “why are you going to a retirement village when you don’t need care”. Our reply is “why wait until you’re too old to enjoy it”.We’re really excited to be moving into a brand new, generous sized stand alone home that is very energy efficient. And the thought of never having to mow lawns, dig gardens and do maintenance are the ‘cherry on the top’. And there’ll be heaps of support around us, for when we need it. Because we are moving in to Stage 2 we have to wait for another 6 months or so but we’re ready. We’ve been through the show home twice and had several meetings with Hamish at the Residents Centre.
