I joined Auckland MMA to change my lack of self-confidence, due to bullying and other issues from a young age.I am now more confident in myself and I am grateful to my coaches and members at Auckland MMA.

Auckland MMA has a friendly and encouraging community and the coaches are passionate about their arts. If you are a total beginner to martial arts, experienced at any level, or maybe you are just curious to try it once to see if you like it, this is a great place to visit.

I have trained several MMA gyms around Auckland and overseas, I can hand on heart say the friendly environment and vibe to this gym is simply second to none.They have top level coaches who are masters in their field and are able to explain the basics to beginners through to teaching complex fight tactics to their experienced fighters.I loved the fact that they had a beginners class to learn the fundamentals and once you felt comfortable you could move up to more experienced classes at your own pace, right the way through to training with full time professional title holders.Hamish is an excellent coach with brilliant communication who will take time during a class to help correct you personally which I really found helpful, and it was nice to know he cared and wanted you to improve.They also have a BJJ class I jumped in a few times with Van who was a master coach, she had near flawless technique, but was still able to break down complex moves in a way newer students could understand easily.Can't praise this gym enough, and hope when my kids are older to start them in the kids classes here as they look simply awesome!

Awesome gym for all ages and abilities. Hamish and Van are experienced, welcoming and driven to help people on their MMA journey. Great family vibe. Would reccomend to anyone.

One of New Zealand’s premier MMA gyms. This is a diverse gym with lots of different walks of life. They can cater to complete beginners, casuals, recreational, amateurs & professional fighters. Hamish is the head coach there, he is one of nz’s o.g coaches and has a wealth of knowledge & experience in MMA.
