Best haircut I’ve had in years. Luke was superb; his skill and attention to detail are second-to-none. Very clear he takes pride in his work and wants you to walk out the door with the best possible haircut. I’ve never reviewed a barber before but Luke and the New Era Barbershop are exceptional. 10/10. Darren

Highly recommend this place. “Henderson” has been cutting my hair for a few months now and he’s always a delight to deal with. Passionate about his art, great conversationalist, and laughs at my terrible Dad jokes. Will keep coming back.

Took my 3 year old son in today for his first proper barber haircut and the service was awesome. My son was super nervous but his barber was very patient with him, and the result is beautiful. He looks so tidy now. Thank you guys! If I’m ever back these ways from the Chathams will definitely be calling in for more haircuts. Hopefully with my big boys too!

Luke is such a funny guy with a contagious laugh, so chilled easy to talk to and had the insane beard unfortunately his beard had got trimmed down so he is not that handsome now but apart from that he does the meanest fades; he has got ideas with other styles to do and I am confident and letting him play around with my hair going lower fade to high fade.Also I want to say thank you luke for making me good looking almost as you. I’m making girls neck hurts cause they turn so fast at me down the streets.He also a making me a customise clippers which I am looking forward to ! What a guy !!!

I can highly recommend this barber to tame your or your loved one's beard. This is a city quality service in the suburbs. Countdown is around the corner - very convenient. So gents, delegate the shopping and get a cut at the same time. Same if the aunties or uncles in care at Wellington Hospital. Mum's use the time to get the boys looking decent again and spare them some boredom. There is nearby parking at Countdown (I think it's free if your partner shops), Wellington Hospital ($4-$6 depending on how long you park) or park free across the street after 5pm once the business clears out.

Great service, great cut. Popped in last minute to the barber and even though I'm a middle aged lady he was welcoming and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. Gave me the shaved 'back and sides' that I wanted with a little fade to finish it off. Great conversation too. Awesome.

This has to be the best barbers in the lower north island! They're open Monday - Sunday which means there is always a chance to get your haircut. They always give a fresh fade plus their eye for details is unmatched here in Wellington. Super friendly, great haircuts I couldn't recommend them more. 10/10.
