Keas in this area have damaged number of vehicles. I've seen scooter with seat shreaded to pieces and Yaris with all window seals removed". If possible

Car park itself is well maintained. Access through gate which you have to open and close yourself.Beware of kea, cover your car or at least plastic parts.

Yes the keas WILL shred your vehicle. They love ripping off the rubber bits.

It's a gambling I would say :) It's a nice car park, indeed there are many Keas in the area and there are warning signs on the car park, which say that Keas might damage your car. I don't know the probability, but we have been lucky. Our Van was there for 2 days as we hiked to the Welcome Flat Hut and our car was totally fine, as well as the cars next to us, which arrived at the same time. As said, we maybe have been lucky, but probability to get the car damaged can't be 100 percent.
