Looksmart Alterations

I came for dry cleaning my wedding dress here and they were very unreliable and terrible communication. I was told I'd be called for a quote a day or two after dropping it off. I then called the store multiple times over 2 weeks asking for this quote that was never given. Eventually they gave me the dry cleaners direct number and they told me they didn't have my order there. Finally the store tells me back says the dress is back, even though I never approved a quote and they never offered to box it or anything or give me a discount for this less than stellar service.

29/8/19 My first visit to this alterations business with a pair of trousers that needed the legs shortened. The staff member who assisted me that morning was polite and friendly. After pinning the trousers for the required length, I was directed to another staff member, Gaylene (also polite, helpful & friendly) for payment, pick-up date etc.5/9/19 Not required in a hurry, so picked up first thing in the a.m. Tried trousers on after arriving home...excellent length, just the way I like it. Oh, and the price? Well worth the $25.90, nice professional finish & saved me having to do the alteration, myself. Will definitely use 'Looksmart' again for any future clothing alterations.

Got my pants shortened here at the North City store and they were amazing. Received awesome service from Prida; my pants were the perfect length and she was really accomodating of the short time frame I needed them ready in. Really nice staff and great price. Highly recommend :)

I took a brand new pair of jeans in to have the length shortened. I asked them to be shortened to just touching the floor in barefeet. Despite them being measured and pinned, they're about 2 cm too short.In response to owner's response: I took the jeans back to be lengthened and the staff were very obliging. However, when I went to pick them up on the date I was told they'd be ready, the jeans hadn't been done so I had to make another trip to get them. So, a mixed experience but I appreciate that they eventually put things right and have added another 2 stars to my review.

Service was good. They had a sign saying they were short of staff so time frames for work was longer than usual - kudos to them for being upfront.

Went here on Sunday to get a bridesmaid dress taken in and was charged $300!!! When we first arrived we quietly waited to be served and then we were told to sit down and get away from the counter so a customer could pay for his item which was fine so we sat down then she told us very rudely to come up to the counter and asked what we wanted very abruptly, I explained I needed my dress taken in a few inches and she turned her face away from me and told me to try it on, I obviously couldn't hear her so asked her kindly pardon I couldn't hear you? She then loudly said go in the changing room and try it on! So I tried it on she took some measurements then told me it will be and I quote $300 to do the alterations because im the best person here and the only one who can do hard jobs and I'm busy so it'll be $300 for you" I've since gone somewhere else and was charged $50 for the same job."
