Fox Glacier Valley Walk
Amazing scenery. Amazing wildlife. All in all a fantastic walk. The walk is quite easy to handle. Most of it is flat. About four viewing points are carved into the forests. If you have the opportunity you got to check it out. Even Mount Cook presents himself in his majestic way. Nature at its best.

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
It has a great scenery. Come to the fox glacier before it retreats. Trekking there will take around 30mins to 1 hour. There is a little hill that you have to walk past, so if you are tired or certain conditions that you have, just be careful.In general it is a wonderful place.

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
Not a great walk. Uphill on a previously drivable road with little to see until you get to the old car park a few kilometres up. View of the glacier here but still quite far away from it. Wish I’d chosen the Franz Josef walk instead.

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
A great walk. There is a path to follow so you cannot get lost, there are a few inclines but if you can walk uphill for more than 5mins you are ok! Take a jacket with you incase of weather change! Once you get to the viewing point you will be met with said Glacier, not as close as you think and climate change will hit home!

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
If you find yourself here to see a glacier you are on the right spot but decades late. The end of the glacier is a little bit far from here so you see only a gray smudge. There is a line you should not pass so you can not get any closer. It is a little bit sad to see once great glacier like this. Only way to have a close look at the glacier is to take a pricey helicopter tour. :/ Hike here is interesting anyway.

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
This short walk on well developed trails out to viewpoints for Fox Glacier is a great day hike.The trail is easy to walk and well developed.We enjoyed the woods as we walked leisurely along, and the viewpoints.I was able to get some photos of the glacier from the trail and the viewpoints.If you want to see the glacier in all its glory, take a helicopter tour. They will even land on the glacier, so that you can get out and walk around on it!Add it to your list of photo stops when you are in the Fox Glacier/Franz Josef Glacier area.

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
Fox glacier. As an ADS accreedited tour guide, I do come here often, or whenever we have time and the visitors are fit for a 50min walk. lots of springs on the way, makes a perfect environment. Visitors do like these if they can make it to the top. Over the years this track has changed quite a lot. When I first walked in in 2016, we could walked to very far... I hope we can still see this glacier in 10 years time. It is definitely worth walking this time, just like last time and the time before.

Fox Glacier Valley Walk
Fantastic and enjoyed to walk even it was rain and cloudy. Great scenery of mountains, waterfalls specially Glacier. Don't miss it!
