Akau Tangi Sports Centre
Great event centre near town close to the airport. Huge indoor space with separation drop downs. Venue hiring is also available for birthdays and events. The activity gym is a great place for kids on Sunday mornings. It is $5.50 per entrance per kid, accompanying adults are free.

It was fun watching the futsal game (Coll vs Scots) and the excitable spectators at last nights game, very entertaining and great game playing by both teams.Great sports centre, my boys have been using this facility for many, many years.

Parking can be a pain on a Saturday. Just have to make sure you give yourself enough time to drive around looking for one nearby. Sometimes the court bookings get messed up, but staff will always try their best to accommodate or remedy the situation

Spectators can't see basketball scoreboards.ALL basketball courts appear to have the same problem.On positive side, lots of basement car parking.

Akau Tangi Sports Centre
Great sports centre and very well maintained.We came here for a testimonial football game with colleagues from the office. We had great games indeed. The field was rented prior to the game. When we came, all of the fields/halls are fully used.We can also rent some equipments like ball, net, table tennis, and more. Rooms are also available for rent.Toilets are clean. Parking is also available on the spot.

What an awesome venue for indoor sports. Following the Junior Collegiate Volleyball tournament. Spacious cafe, with view of courts. Netball played adjacent, with a central overheard walkway looking down onto courts. If your watching sports here, take yourself a foldaway chair, as seating is very limited.

Great place for basketball. Nice and modern feel and look. The only reason for giving 4 stars is that I couldn't find a proper change room nor shower. Outfit change is in the bathrooms

Akau Tangi Sports Centre
I go to watch netball games during the winter season. Parking can be a little hard to get sometimes but you just need to give yourself a little more time to find a park as Saturdays are always very busy throughout the day. Great to have parking underground for those wet days.
