I turned up without an appointment (while on holiday from Australia) due to constant pain from my braces wire digging into my cheek for a week. The doctor was able to quickly see the wire didn't need a trim as I had assumed, and he rotated the wire within my brackets so it no longer dug into my cheek. The team are really lovely and kind, prompt with their care and incredibly knowledgeable. Couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you again for your help!

I’m so disheartened to write this negative review but I genuinely feel that I have been RIPPED OFF! Philip did 2 adjustments to my braces and charged me $700! I replied in shock “really?” and he responded with “oh okay I’ll do you a deal of $600”. Holding the tears back I said “wow I wasn’t expecting that”, he responded “well I want to be paid for my work” and he turned his back and walked away! To have my entire weeks pay go to a greedy, rude man who calculated the bill from the top of his head in 3 seconds just isn’t right. After expressing that I had felt pressured and taken advantage of by Philip, I had no further email response.

I have a bonded retainer that was put on by my orthodontist in Auckland but the wire had dislodged from the glue. Know it’s a simple fix as I’ve had it done multiple times in the past and the most I’ve ever been charged is $100. Philip said he doesn't usually deal with retainer bonds but assured me he would be able to fix it. He assessed the situation and provided a quote of $300, which, although higher than usual, was still cheaper than flying back to Auckland for the procedure. As soon as he started I noticed his hands were shaking whilst using the tools in my mouth. He then proceeded to break the wire and claim that the wire had dislodged from 3 places as opposed to one contradicting his initial assessment all the while getting increasingly more frustrated at me and increasing the cost despite his initial quote and being part way through the procedure. Concerned about his temperament and the safety of the procedure, I abruptly halted the appointment. I told him I would not be paying as he not only failed to fix the problem but made it worse. He then began to berate me yelling at me to leave immediately.The whole experience left me feeling quite shaken. Now, I am left with a broken wire that is causing discomfort and providing no support to my teeth. He should have been honest about his lack of competence and declined to proceed if it was beyond his expertise.All that aside, I must mention the Receptionist was lovely and the only positive aspect of my experience.

Not regarding his service although he was very rude to me while I was trying to park on a public street in front of his house/practise. He seems like a very cold-hearted man...Seeing his response. I’ve been a local for over 8 years. I was not parking on a yellow line as I know the ticket would be 80 dollars. Please don’t embarrass yourself with your lame excuses!

This practice was so helpful and kind to us when we needed assistance when visiting from Auckland in the winter holidays. Expertise and knowledge that fixed our problem quickly and all done with a super friendly attitude by the whole team. Thank you very much.

Kind, thoughtful and professional service

Not impressed with the service here.Receptionists were lovely, but the dentist was rude, he didnt listen and talked all over me when i tried to ask questions, i payed $120 for a consultation that lasted barely 20 minutes, i feel i didnt come away with much information at all, he didnt show me options of braces, and he even brought another patient in mid consultation to snip a wire, worst of all, he has left me with painful toothache from scraping so hard at a loose filling I have. Total waste of my time and money. Not impressed at all.

I saw Philip and the team while I was in high school some years back. Their service was kind and I am extremely happy with the end result. I'm forever grateful.
