Airport Gateway Motel

We booked the Economy Studio and it was so much bigger than expected. We had 2 bedrooms with space for 2 people each and our bed and the couch was comfortable. Pretty clean, but I had a stain on my pillow (see picture) & there was one on the blanket as well (seemed to not be a fresh one though). The remote could use some fixing or a replacement as well.You could not actively lock the door from the inside (nobody could get in from the outside but we would have liked to be able to lock it properly to feel more safe).We checked in for an Airport Shuttle, which was easy & free to access - huge advantage.

Beautiful well appointed rooms and meals also great. Friendly and helpful staff would highly recommend this place. Also if you flying out you can leave your car there and they are pet friendly too

Our room was comfortable and clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant and Daniel who served us was just lovely. He was friendly and more than happy to help us with any request. What an asset to your company.

Very recommended for those who has very early flight. Our flight is 6 am so we need transportation on 4 am. Hotel provided the shuttle. Very convenient. Family Room is spacious. Complete kitchen even we dont use it. Would come here again if we come to Christchurch.

Nice Motor Lodge quite near Airport. Very friendly helpful staff. Small restaurant but the meals and Breakfast are excellent. They will pick you up from airport, just give a call to reception when you are landed.

Would have given 0 rating if it was an option. I stayed at the motel overnight before traveling overseas. I made the payment ($150) when I checked-in to avoid the surcharge from the credit card. However, when I checked my credit card 2days later, I found that $250 was deducted from my credit card.After multiple emails, they replied that the amount was deducted as towels from the room was missing. I was provided only one small towel in the room which I kept in the bathroom after the shower. They could have easily confirmed this with their staff who did make the room for me( If they are a truthful person) as I was provided only a small towel.If you decide to stay in this motel take a video of the room while check- in. Otherwise, you would never be able to prove if they say something is missing from their room. ( and they would never accept their mistake’s either)

Would have rated higher as the rooms are great, especially the family suites (didn’t see the executive suites). Was disappointed the bar was shut when I arrived (21:30). The free shuttle service to the airport is handy (they lose points though as they weren’t overly busy the next day and I was quoted $20 to go two miles - within the airport grounds - when Uber asked $10 for the same journey and the previous night I was told it would be free as it was out of season), also the check out was a little chaotic as there was only one person on and the phone was constantly off the hook and initially I was nearly charged twice for breakfast and food I had on the room. Glad I checked! All that aside the bed was so soft and comfortable and warm. Shower great and very handy fridge, freezer, cooker facilities plus tvs and alarm clocks. Curtains also great black out. Would stay again if the check out had been better, plus rated higher too (they also lose points as the kitchen bins hadn’t been emptied so every time I opened the landfill / compost bin i was met by rotting baby food stench from the previous guests and by the time I left the recycling bin was overflowing. That and a used flannel was in the bathroom. So overall a good night’s sleep and a pleasant pickup from the airport at door 8 (the airport signs are very confusing - no fault of the motel!) but small issues with cleanliness and check out. Oh and breakfast was delicious. Food and drink not too expensive either from the bar.

Just stayed there with a group of 10. The staff make this place what it is, they are simply amazing. Made things so easy and go above and beyond. Thank you

Quite large motel near airport with 24/7 free shuttle to/from airport Very friendly and helping staff. Location is a bit away from main amenities though. I had to take taxi to get to the market and city. Rooms are clean, spacious and equipped with everything u might need. There are wall heaters (not heat pumps for cooling purposes) and individual wifi routers serves good speed internet.
