Spectacularly unhelpful. We had rented a car in Auckland which got a flat outside Hamilton and the Hertz customer care line instructed us to see if we could switch cars at this location. Long story short, we couldn't, ended up driving more than three hours back to Auckland on a donut at slow speed. Really the worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company, which is really saying something. Rude, condescending, impractical, couldn't seem to care less. Stay away!

Helpful team who had my booking ready and showed me how the car worked before I departed. No key, push button start, so.ething new every time.The car itself was so so. It was a couple of years old and in good condition without being flash. I connected my phone but it wouldn't let me play music from it. I've done this in all kinds of other rentals from a different company, so I'm sure it wasn't something I missed. And of course they had disabled the navigation function, to encourage people to hire a GPS.The location is great, right next to a petrol station so it's easy to gas up before you drop the car off.

Worst experience I have ever hadI ask the guy to come and have I look at the car at hamilton airport when i were there to drop the rental car. He said just park and leave the keys with me and next day they charge me for gas for no reason, because I filled the car from the gas station next to the airport.Aware guys. I am lucky that they didn’t told me later that I scratched the car

Always top service.Great selection of vehicles including PHEVs.Sometimes there can be a increase demand on vehicles so book early for the best rates and to guarantee your vehicle. I belong to Avis, Budget, Thrifty and Europcar but Hertz (in particular this branch) is now my go to.
