I've had the pleasure to have Stacey Cartmell as the property manager for 2 of my previous rentals. She was always very responsive and quick to deal with any issues that arose. A lot of the times the process of getting the bond back is a stressful one, but Stacey kept me in the loop and everything went smoothly every time. We live in England and own a residential property in Epsom, Auckland which comprises six purpose-built two bedroom units.This property has been managed for us by Barfoot & Thompson for several decades, going back to the days when the normal method of communication was international airmail. As non-resident owners who are only able to get to Auckland every few years, we rely on our property managers not only to manage day to day matters, but also to monitor and maintain the building over the long term.Throughout this time Barfoot & Thompson have been exemplary managers and excellent communicators, which in our situation is essential. When urgent maintenance has been necessary they have attended to it immediately, which even in these days of instant communication gives us complete peace of mind. We'd been renting an apartment in the CBD since 2016 if I remember correctly, B&T managing it. Had great experience with them, never had any issues or arguments regarding any fixes or replacements that were required now and then. Our last property manager is amazing (we've left the apartment recently), Alex Reid, can't recommend enough, genuinely nice person and a great professional. Alex is probably by far the most caring property manager I have met. She doesn’t annoy you constantly but letting you know she will be just one phone call away. When it comes to bond payment they will be rushing you to pay your bond ASAP and when it comes to bond refund payment it is taking so long- a highly unrecommended rentals property management.So, BT has time to respond me on google reviews but not replying my emails and texts.

Barefoot and Thompson have been incredible over the past few weeks! I could not recommend them more. I work for an insurance claims management company and due to the natural disasters in New Zealand, we’ve had to bring international staff into the country to assist.
