We wish we had met George years ago! George and his boys did an incredible job on a full renovation project and building the extension of our house.The renovation was extensive, basically a full gut of all rooms, including new piles, walls, additional bathroom, new load bearing walls, ceilings, skylights, replacement aluminium joinery throughout.The extension was to build a new additional 4 rooms, including master ensuite bedroom.From structural integrity to finishing touches, George excels and is second to none.George also has access to a large network of other tradies, from electrical, plumbing, flooring, plaster and painting, and roofing. All of whom are tried and tested, plus available on call.Overall the project finished weeks ahead of schedule, and landed well within budget. We are extremely pleased with the result, and won’t go to another builder again.

George and his team did a great job repairing the hole in the kitchen floor and squaring off of two archways. George is very friendly and knowledgeable. His pricing is fair and i would definitely use his services again.

George is an excellent builder. Furthermore, he has some very good (qualified) contractors working with him. Altogether his team pulled off a quality job in removing my laundry to make space for scullery (plumbing, electrician, re-gib, plaster, prime, paint). His communication skills are excellent. He briefed me on daily basis about what’s being done and what would follow.His contractors are hard workers and always showed up on time. We had George come round and fix part of our roof after it started leaking. Right from the off, George was personable, prompt with communication and realistic with pricing, talking us through what needed to be done and why. When undertaking the job, George and his contractors were respectful, prompt, professional and did a quality job. When there was a small issue, George was quick to remedy it showing he clearly values his customers'. Overall, the job was done on time, for a reasonable cost and to a very high standard. I'd 110% recommend George and his crew to anyone needing a builder.

George and the team did an amazing bathroom renovation for our family home. Managed to fit us in at short notice and finished the project before the expected finish date. Communication was great at every step of the project. Highly recommend these guys to anyone who wants to get building work done!!

George and his team recently did our bathroom reno which included removing a wall between the toilet and bathroom, straightening out another wall (built that way in 1953 when the house was built). The rest of the job included removing the old toilet, bath and vanity, removing a heavy concrete header tank, and replacing the old floor. They installed a new plywood floor levelled to perfection, installed acoustic batts in one wall, re-gibbed the walls and ceiling, and a new cavity slider door. George arranged the plumber to install the new shower, toilet and vanity, the electrician to install new lighting, extractor fan and heated mirror, as well as organizing the gib stopping and painting, and the vinyl laying. All done on schedule and on budget. The end result is all we could wish for, we are very happy with it. Highly recommend Alternative Building Solutions!

George is an excellent builder and we are totally satisfied with his recent work of replacing damaged soffits boards, installing new downpipes. He is very prompt and clear in communication. Very helpful if you need any tips & guidance if you are unsure. Highly recommend George if you need repairs, renovations or any building solutions.

We had a new front fence built and exterior weatherboard cladding partially replaced, along with finishing scribers/facings around new windows.After being let down by other builders all year, I called Alternative Building Solutions in desperation, purely based on his positive reviews.From the day I called George, I received nothing but a positive and honest experience, along with a can-do attitude.He popped around a few days later and gave an estimate and a rough time frame of when the job would be finished.At that stage all we cared about was getting the work done...we didn't even get another quote. The price was in our budget so we accepted his immediately.Georges communication was on point, keeping us in the loop all the way along with his movements and the project.True to his word, he actually completed it all a lot sooner which impressed us very much.We are so happy with the finished product! But I feel just as importantly, I am happy we had such a smooth experience.
