Hanmer Sushi & Bowl
Overall good food and nice staff. The main problem would be the lack of sitting area in the restaurant. There are only four stools and that's just not enough. There's no outdoor sitting area as well and a park nearby has only unshaded tables. It's a good restaurant for takeaway but I wouldn't recommend it for a sit-down lunch.

I can safely call this the best sushi place in NZ! Good variety of sushi, fresh and appetizing, well presented, and very tasty! The ramen was delicious too (definitely a good comfort food to go for).Given the good quality of food, the price is relatively cheap!Thank you Vincent and Jing Yi for preparing the food diligently and for your warm services. Highly recommend!

We are so lucky to have Hanmer Sushi & Bowl in our small town, the range of dishes they offer is huge, its always fresh, and it is oh so soooo good. The staff are fantastic and I'm always greeted with a huge smile and a warm welcome. If I've got time a Poke bowl is my go-to, but the selection of sushi to grab and go is by no means second choice.It is New Zealand sushi though, so by that I mean there are lots of sauces, combinations and styles on offer. Its not your plain and simple sushi like you get in Japan, but this is obviously what sells here in NZ.If only there was some sashimi options available..Did I mention this place is good!

So happy to have a different range of food to eat for lunch in Hanmer. They have a big range of sushi and its really tasty. Kids loved it.

Outstanding Sushi in Hanmer Springs, beautifully presented, tastes fresh/ delicious. Pleasant clean surroundings coupled with pleasant staff. 10/10 would most definitely recommend your sushi to others. :-)

Honestly, our expectations weren’t high after going to lots of sushi places in small towns around New Zealand. We were blown away. Between our family of four, over a few days, I think we tried almost every piece of sushi they had on offer.A variety of flavours- all very fresh and flavours worked well. Our kids loved the idea of the “hamburger and chicken nugget sushi” although as expected they were novelty but not repeat orders. Love that you can get the regular but they also offer octopus, eel, crab & more.Thanks for the delicious sushi and we’ll be back. Rice ball option would be a winner

Fresh and tasty, good prices. The salmon nigiri was great. I'm glad that I can have the fantastic quality sushi like I used to eat in Japan in Hanmer. Highly recommended

We wanted to feed our kids healthy food after playing at Hanmer Springs pool and found this high rating sushi shop just about 5 mins walk away from the pool. The sushi options are great and delicious, my kids love the sushi so much until I forgot to take any picture of the food! That's after we ordered second round! =)
