What a place. No wonder this place have earned 4.9 rating. If you are visiting Lyttelton, forget all places go here.Man its a nice cosy little gem to relax with your friends. You can sit for hours.Amazing food. Far far better than big fancy costly restaurants. We had korean fried chicken, okra, tacos and steak.Just surprised how well prepared with details and tasted better than fine dinning restaurant.Service is it personal level. I mean personal. The owner and chef will take care of you very well.Good selection of beers, wines, wiskey and cocktails. u ask the bar tender what you feel like and he will make it with passion. The passion for making the customers feel like family can be felt here.We were visiting from Melbourne just for few hours at evening to spend at Lyttleton and glad we visited.Highly recommend everyone to visit this place.Keep it going guys. Hopefully will see you at our next visit.Thank you for your hospitality.

Fresh, delicious fare skilfully prepared before your very eyes, lively, cool-but-not-too-cool-it's-inaccessible-and-up-itself atmosphere, street-food style bar with excellent roster of quality beers.

Food wasnt too bad not a huge menu too choose from. Was a bit cold as its made out of shipping containers. Stools for seats were not very comfortable. Lemon, lime bitters was authentic tasting but in a small glass and alot of ice added.

Thought this was a restaurant but it's really just a bar. So many people had said how good the food was here but mainly bar snacks and only 2 options for a meal, burger or noodles.Had the burger, really small and plain and very expensive $28 for about 10 chips a small patty, cheese and a pickle. Something I could have got at any bbq. On the plus side service was good.

I will start by saying - We (wife & I) have often enjoyed being in this restaurant & I rate the food highly. And I do not pretend to be anyone's friend here plus understand the dynamics of a ‘normal’ owner/client relationship. As I myself had many years ago, trained as a Chef & worked behind a bar & served food as a waiter. In other words, I understand the stresses of being polite when the customers are being rude, or you are having your own issues and/or you do not feel like it but must try and be professional. From the moment we arrived the owner ‘ignored’ us, ok, it was busy, but not overly so (and we are always pleased for businesses, given the last few years). So, we put it down to this, unfortunately for us he became more offhand and dismissive towards us, ok fine there busy. Then he/they messed up our order, giving it to table next to us. (We found this out from the bar staff) and wouldn’t have cared anyway. But by then it was clear something was ‘wrong’ with us, by the way he dropped the corrected plate on the table. So last night my wife & I decided we will not be going back, because we genuinely do not understand what we did wrong. We did not complain about the mix up, just one of those things and it would not have been worth asking him last night after the meal, “what’s up”. So sadly, this business gets this rating, not for the food, but because we genuinely do not understand why he choose to be rude towards us. This just left us feeling disappointed about even bothering to visit them and for wasting of our time.Genuinely Sorry if you were just having a bad day but do not take it out on your customers.
