My pepper steak pie was fresh and lovely. I didn't get a coffee but the aroma told me it was great. My friend said her coffee was wonderful. It was good Friday and packed and they handled the customers quite quickly. Our tour only had 30 minutes. Wonderful place!

Perfect corner store in Piha. All your diary favourites, with a real focus on local produce and sustainable goods. Coffee is excellent and lovely outdoor seating areas.

I had two US visitors today with me entering the store at 1:30, sign outside saying sandwiches and coffee until 2:30.The owner couldn’t have been more rude to us, declaring he had closed the coffee machine and directing us to buy ice coffee on a wet winter’s day from the fridge instead. He had also run out of food. You would never see this anywhere else in the world. Shameful. All I could do was apologise for NZ and him to my visitors. This is why our currency trades at 60-63 cents to the USD. The rest of the advanced grown upnations in the world rightly have cause at times treat us as a third world county, this is one such instance.I’ve seen a similar review on here about this store owner and await his response. Shame there is no zero star rating.

I got two moldy egg pies, mold under the pastry top. The mold was hidden under the pristine pastry top accidentally noticing the mold when I was taking a bite. I peeled back the top of the pastry and found mold in the middle. Fail and unsafe. Check your pies for mold.I will just add after that response by owner : I had two moldy egg pies and vomited, I sent photos to council and complained, I have NEVER reviewed or commented on this except this single review above. And so its not hate speech, truth is you shouldn't have given me moldy pies. And you probably don't want me to look up the photos which I probably still have.I know exactly how I got two moldy pies - you should ask your staff.

Any reviews you read about the rude customer service by the man behind the counter is true. I had the worst customer service experience here. Just look at the snarky comments he replies for poor reviews; it’s shocking what he responds back with.

Popped into the store a couple weeks back to grab a coffee before a beach walk , the older guy behind the till was quite obnoxiously rude at the checkout. I assume he gets away with the awful customer service because that store is the only game in town which is a real shame. Judging by his responses to the reviews on google he seems to take pleasure in winding people up, which is pretty gross… hopefully another store opens up in the area, then he’ll really be able to see what an toxic attitude like that gets him.

A lovely surf shop and confectionery stop off. I only used the surf shop but I hear the food is great. If you’re looking to buy yourself something for the water or maybe you fancy grabbing a board to get in the water, well, look no further than Piha stores. Great selection of boards to choose from and lovely service by delightful people. Easy going, helpful and just just what Piha is all about really. ❤️

Whenever I arrive in Piha I need to get to the store asap. It's a great place to pick up a few groceries, ice lollies (blocks) for the grandkids and strong tasty coffees for the grown ups. Always nice to have a chat with big Pete too of course.

This is the only store to purchase groceries, supplies, and snacks in Piha.It is only a few minutes walk or drive from the beaches, and directly across the street from the campground and public toilets. They have a lot of the basics- canned goods, fresh baked goods and desserts, bread (including fresh baked bread), ice cream, frozen food, and fresh made pies. The prices are a little high, as expected so far away from other options. They will make fresh wraps, salads, or sandwiches at their deli bar for you, and even toast them on their sandwich presses, if you like. They have a full coffee bar, too. They have plenty of organic, non-dairy, vegetarian and vegan options available. The staff is pretty helpful and friendly. We went here several times during our stay in Piha for “basics” and to get fresh desserts, baked goods, or pastries.Be aware that they do NOT sell beer, wine, or other alcohol. BYOB when you come out to Piha
