The Event Refinery

We couldn't recommend Mel and the Events Refinery team more! Mel is incredibly professional, organised and creative and is also one of warmest and most generous people you'll meet.With all of our guests travelling from overseas, we organised glamping and a party the day after, so Mel essentially single-handedly organised and coordinated a two-day festival for 120 people! The entire weekend took a huge amount of work and coordination by Mel and it flowed seamlessly. She thought of details that never would have occurred to us and made the planning process fun and stress-free. We couldn't have been happier and are so grateful that we found Mel!

For all the brides out there who want ZERO stress, I would recommend you hire Mel RIGHT NOW. Our wedding was stress-free, organised, and just fun! I hired Mel for on the day co-ordination but she did so much more than that throughout the year, her communication is fantastic and suggestions really helped made the day go more smoothly. I didn't have a bridal party as I wanted all my friends to enjoy the day, having Mel there, knowing she had my back throughout the evening was incredible. Don't think about it, just hire her to take the stress OFF EVERYONE, not just you as a bride. It made such a difference to our day and everyone said it was the most fun wedding they have ever been too which is exactly the vibe we wanted. Love you Mel and thank you so much!! We had a fantastic experience with Mel at The Event Refinery. We hired a grid stand, signage frame and brass vases, and everything was perfect. Communication with Mel was always easy, and she was incredibly helpful sorting out delivery and drop-offs. Would highly recommend!

We feel so lucky to have found Mel and The Event Refinery. Mel was kind, energetic, patient, helpful and so so organised. We were based outside of Auckland while planning our wedding so Mel did all the groundwork and I trusted her with everything and she delivered so much more than I anticipated. I was never stressed or concerned bc I had her on my side. Everything was executed perfectly and I couldn’t have wished for a more epic day. We asked for a lot and she delivered. Mel @ The Event Refinery was truly AMAZING as our wedding coordinator. We spent ten months together creating our perfect day, with Mel's fantastic communication with us and all of our vendors, helping and guiding us, and making sure everything was on track. Mel was extremely thorough, super responsive and she was always 'got' our ideas! Her on the day management (and the set up the day before) was pure magic - nothing was a problem and she managed all the hard work seemingly effortlessly. I can't recommend Mel enough, I could not have enjoyed the day as much as I did if it was not for Mel and The Event Refinery.

The staff at The Event Refinery are great to work with and they provided top quality tables, benches, chairs and festoon lights for our daughter's wedding reception.   The bride and groom were thrilled! The staff also accommodated our need for late night pick up. Highly recommend!

We used TER for the co-ordination and styling of our wedding and Mel went above and beyond to ensure our day ran perfectly. Right from the get go, Mel was onto it with all the finer details, regular check ins and making sure we felt relaxed and excited for our big day. The day couldn't have been more of a success and this was all down to Mel and her team. We were so well looked after - always making sure we were fed and had a drink in hand. The venue and space looked stunning thanks to Mel's eye for detail - it was so great to talk through floor plans and her communication with other vendors was great. She had batteries and tape for those last minute emergencies and made sure everything was taken care of. We received such great feedback from our guests, saying how fabulous Mel was. We feel so lucky to have had TER apart of our day and would recommend them to anyone.

Where do I even start?! I had the absolute pleasure of planning our wedding with Mel from The Event Refinery, and we couldn't have been happier with how our special day turned out. We were in contact for almost a year, navigating Covid stress and changes of dates, but nothing was too much for Mel. Her incredible attention to detail, excellent communication skills and responsiveness made our day truly wonderful, but most of all she was open, friendly, positive and put my mind at ease with every decision we made. Mel was ALWAYS available to listen to my every thought, question or idea and I knew that she was 100% reliable and supportive. Mel and her team were very organised and efficient. Even with all the challenges during Covid, Mel didn’t skip a beat. She was always there to answer our questions and give her input. Even with having to reschedule twice, Mel made sure our special day was how we wanted it.
