Amazing dating place from our own experience!It's perfectly located right next to the bus stop and New World in the Mount.Very spacious inside and love its design and decoration, especially the fireplace.Amazing vibe for dating or friends gathering.What's more amazing is the food, especially the beef wellington which blew my partner's mind, the snapper is also very decent.Reasonable price, I mean the food and its portion is definitely worth that price.And yes the service is also impeccable, they all wear a smile and are very friendly.Can't complain at all.We have been to almost all the high-class restaurants in Tauranga and the Mount, this one is probably so far our favourite.

Beautiful setting and very attentive staff. My mussels were fabulous but my daughter's octopus a bit chewy. Daughter loved the horseradish with her wagu. My beef Wellington had a bit much mustard.Great wine selection.

A top class dinner experience. It totally emptied our pockets, but we left contented with full bellies. The waiting staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and were good to recommend options for Coeliacs.The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection.

Dined with a group of ladies, about 12 of us. Great service from everyone of the waitresses/waiters that looked after us. Great food! we loved the delicious food. Was visiting from Auckland, if in the area again, will be my choice of place to visit again. Well done team.

Wow... What an amazing experience! Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated, and outstanding staff - super friendly and welcoming. The drinks menu has a good variety, and the wines we had were delicious (Tempranillo and an Australian Syrah). The food was superb! The highlight has to be the beef tartare, which was perfectly paired with these crackers that I can't remember what they were made of. Full of flavor! The octopus dish was excellent, too. The Greenstone Creek rib eye was perfectly medium-rare, and the beef Wellington was packed with flavor. At Fife Lane, the staff bring you a wooden case with steak knives for you to choose one to use. How cool is that? We ordered the onion rings because a friend told us they're the best thing ever. They were very good, but I was not amazed by them. Next time, instead of onion rings, I'll order a dessert (had no room in my stomach this time).

We visited here for my birthday.It was really great restaurant in BOP.Steak was excellent and an octopus was also fantastic :)The service is also great and kind.If you are in tauranga, you should visit here.

Absolutely phenomenal. One of those occasions where 5 stars doesn't seem enough, and you feel the need to add an extra one.I'm not sure why it's taken me a few years to try Fife Lane. But now that I have, it'll be my go-to for special occasions.From an unassuming location, you enter into a tasteful decor. Very comfy chairs, which is oddly overlooked at many fine dining establishments.Love the open plan where you can see the chefs in action. That's not so common for steakhouses, so a nice touch.And the window into the aging room. A bit more common but always fun to look.Friendly and helpful service. If I had to search for a criticism, I was expecting to have the oyster origin and meat medley explained. We had to ask for these, but not really an issue, so that's looking for items to criticise.Choosing our individual steak knives was an excellent touch. I really liked that.The food was wonderful.Bluff oysters - best in the world, so went down treat of course. The calamari was solid but not the best I've had. The brisket filo was very nice.Then onto the main event. Three of us shared the meat medley. Two shared the Chateaubriand, and one had the Beef Wellington. Plus a number of sharing sides.The medley was the best. The fillet was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. It said medium-rare, but was on the border of rare, which is just where I love my steak.I sampled the other meals too. The Chateaubriand was good, but closer to medium. That's too cooked for me. The Beef Wellington was very nice.Overall, the meats were very good. Best I've had in Tauranga.I'd stop short of saying the best I've ever had period. Hard to top the A5 MBS12+ I've had elsewhere. But you can't get that in Tauranga.Excellent wine selection. We had whites and reds that perfectly complemented the courses.Not as expensive as I imagined it might have been too.Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended it, and will absolutely be back.
