Pete's is always amazing, you never know what you're going to find. The prices are always reasonable and the staff friendly and helpful. Whenever I'm stuck I go to Pete's.

Pete's has everything, and you're guaranteed to walk out with more than you came for. There is some cheap tat but also lots of brands - Victorinox knives, Sculpey modelling clay etc. Great sewing section, too.

Complete death trap. Almost every aisle is narrow, cluttered, and a dead end, fire exits are poorly signposted (if at all), and if you spot one, you often find it partially blocked with stock or junk. There's not even a clear line of sight across the store to find the exit. The store is loaded to the roof with highly flammable products, including loads of hanging flags that will allow a fire to sprint from one end of the building to the other. Now add a crowd of customers and kids. What could possibly go wrong?

Pete's Emporium always have a wide range of products, and always what I need. Excellent for crafting supplies, my favourite being 10 yarn skeins for $30! Very buget-friendly and well-stocked, with friendly and helpful staff.

Tried to purchase some stuff in the fabric department and the price was marked wrong, it wasn’t by a lot but it was what made me choose the item. The lady said that’s the wrong price and they’re another price and that a customer had swapped the lids (felt slightly accusatory there), even though you’re supposed to take the containers to them to handle. I asked if she could honour that price and she rudely said no. I’ve worked in retail and always just honoured the price as it was misleading for customers. Perhaps she had a bad day, the lady at the main counter was lovely though :)

All we wanted were goodie bags for our movie night. The selection was outrageous and I had difficulty making a decision. The staff were really helpful and made great suggestions. Totally distracted by all the other sparkly stuff they have - be warned!
