Marsden Bay Christian Camp

Fantastic kitchen / dining facilities, & outdoor area great for games. Our favourites were archery and the water slide... but our bunk room was a disgrace. One row of bunks, narrow space to walk past them, nothing of the double bed we were promised / paid for, and no space in room to relax and chat amongst ourselves during the day. Walls and floor both bare concrete and discoloured as if dirty, even if they had possibly been scrubbed recently.Honestly guys, you can do better than that. We went away needing a break & returned regretting the effort it had taken to get away.Own bedding for a double bed does not split well into two singles end to end. The upside is a new appreciation for home.Showers at north end of bunk rooms were amazing, compensating somewhat for the accommodation.From what we saw, the large bunkrooms looked friendly & inviting places to stay, & family rooms, cabins looked excellent.

We've just stayed here for a school camp and what an amazing place! The activities were awesome, the staff were so incredibly accommodating and friendly. The rooms were good for the most part. There were a couple of narrow Bunk rooms which might be a bit claustrophobic for some.Excellent facilities. Amazing food.We did the Frisby golf, Archery, trust course, water slide, blow up soccer, a costal walk, flying fox, bush walk and a camp fire.Highly recommended

Has accomodation for adults (no sleeping on the floor). Heaps of activities within walking distance. Factor cost in to planning.

The camp...is a camp...and its great. Really clean with great facilities and lots of activities. Spent a couple of days there on a men's retreat. Just had a good time. I tented, but most if the guys stayed in bunk rooms or small cottages.

Would not recommend. My son came home with a blue eye and then I received excuses about why I was not contacted about the incident.

Trevor and Sue are amazing Camp directors.Our church really enjoyed our family camp. A great camp to get away without being too far from Auckland as well. One Tree Point is a lovely area. We will be back.
