Lake Tekapo Holiday Homes

This was a very budget friendly place to stay for a couple nights. We stayed in the Glenfidditch apartment, which was really nice - clean and tidy, and quite a well stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils, a few pots, toaster oven, microwave, 2 cooktops, and a decent sized fridge. Plenty of extra blankets for when it cools down overnight. Check in and check out were easy, great communication from staff who were lovely. Handy location, just a 15 minute walk to Tekapo village. A few extra things would have been nice: a little bit of milk, to go with the coffee and tea provided; something to wash hair with; and somewhere to sit outside, just cheap garden furniture or something. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Stay in the Ashley Height house of Lake Tekapo Holiday homes. So far, this is best holiday home we stay since Jan 17. We stayed here for 2N3D. The minute we step into the house, we all love it. It’s very nice and clean like a home. There are 3 Bedrooms-1 Master and 2 Twins. The bedrooms look great and comfy. The living room is spacious, the kitchen has a dinning table for 6. In addition, the kitchen are well equipped with silverware, cookware (looks clean enough that we feel safe to used it to cook a good homemade dinner.), it also has a microwave, gas stove top with electric oven, dish washer. The entrance has a washer and dryer with 3 pack of laundry powder. This is the only Holiday house that equipped with both washer and dryer so we don’t have to worry about where to hang the clothes after washed. There’s a full bathroom and a toilet with sink. The bathroom are so clean and spacious. Even the toilet are clean and big, too. The WIFI connection are great.

Overall a good stay. Reliable WiFi, good location and nice views in Rossendale, although the advertisements didn't show a house built right in front of the views in the photos... :)The interior is very well presented, however I wasn't a fan of the firmness of the beds, and I'd bring my own bedsheets next time. Overall I'd recommend this place to others for sure.

We are touring around the south island on a hectic 1 night per place schedule and this home provided probably the best views we've had for a reasonable price.Tons of space provided for the money and if you were splitting with friends it would be very cheap.A wall of windows with adorable little green space for our infant to crawl around.Parking was up a bit of a steep grade but VERY tough to argue with the views!Check in was a breeze and the town centre in Tekapo is very nice.

I stayed at Kotiri, and the house had plenty of space - more than enough for 6 people, could accommodate 8. It was spotlessly clean and had about everything needed for a comfortable stay, and Cowans hill right behind the place was the highlight.

Stayed in their O'Neil place property. Place was very spacious and the house well maintained. 5 minutes drive from the town center.

The apartment wasn’t very tidy upon arrival. The hotel says it charges $50NZ if your dishes aren’t done/the room isn’t clean. However, there were plenty of dead bugs stuck to either side of the blinds in the kitchen and lounge room, cobwebs/bugs in the lounge room corner, masses of cobwebs and bird poo on the balcony and at the front door.In terms of service… We were initially really grateful that the property was able to book us in for an extra night after we arrived a day early. There was obviously a miscommunication because they brought our booking forward, rather than extending it and keeping our checkout date. We were charged $50 for a “late checkout” the day before we intended to leave. We received no updated itinerary via email or the booking app indicating our checkout date changed. Because we booked for another night rather than actually checking out, we asked the fee be refunded. We weren’t upset or looking to blame anyone as it wasn’t that big of a deal, but it was frustrating this miscommunication wasn’t even acknowledged and they then thought they could keep the charge because of the inconvenience we apparently caused them. The response to requesting the fee be refunded was no, because time spent on us “was valuable”. The hotel called us twice in 20 minutes and sent one text, it took me 20 minutes to realise we had missed the calls and 2 minutes on the phone to clarify and book the third night. Apparently, the fee is transferable: speaking with guests/managing mishaps isn’t in their job description, it’s worth $50 minimum. We disputed the charge through our bank and the booking app, and got our money back.

Stayed at Apt 2 which is above TLV restaurant. Beautifully presented apartment with unrivalled views. TLV also well worth a visit.

We stayed at Smithy’s and loved the property. Very clean and equipped with laundry and other amenities. The management staff was very friendly and helpful.
