Trott's Garden

Fantastic gardens, very artistic with amazing buxus topiary, wide variety of trees and viewing platforms to take in the gardens from above. Highly recommended.

It was a delightful to look around Trott's Garden down Racecourse Road in Ashburton. It was so peaceful to wander around at will, directed by yellow arrows and visited by plentiful birds. At one point I was accompanied by a confident little cheeky kitten which I particularly liked.The gardens are beautifully laid out with mazes made from boxed hedges. A wonderful range of well established trees are planted for affect. The perennial borders gave a nice splash of colour from a wide variety of plants even at the end of April. Included in the gardens were sculptures, seats, lookouts & obelisks and a tranquil pond.For anyone looking for a wedding venue Trott's Garden may fit the bill perfectly as they have a chapel & marque ready to go along with the lovely setting.Thank you for this lovely opportunity.

Dropped by to have a look.Plenty of parking nice long drive with established trees either side.Very old stone building located at the head of the garden which is well preserved and presented.Different blocks of gardens to view and admire. Some very unusual plantings to see. Two sculptured buxus gardens which must have taken years to get in the amazing design it is now.Lots to look at.Wedding venue is offered which would be an ideal spot.

What a delightful meander we had through these gardens. Autumn colours were glorious.

Not much to do in this town, so we decided to go see Trotts Garden.Beautiful flowers & trees but that's it basically. No tea room which is a shame as they'd probably get alot more tourists..Would be a great venue for a wedding..

Loved this place! We visited in summer but could imagine it would still be beautiful in other seasons.

such a lovely place , didnt get a chance to walk around and see the whole garden , but I was able to see a few, lovely place to host wedding/ conference meeting like how we did this week , nice small chapel will fit approx 60 I think people in there . very nice

Beautiful gardens even though they weren't maintained in autumn. They could be a good venue for functions or wedding receptions. Entry by donation.
