Astra Motor Lodge

The Astra Motor Lodge is a modest establishment but I've given it five stars as it suited our needs in every way. We were met with a bright, friendly reception. It is the second time we have stayed here over the years due to its location a couple of minutes from the Waikato Hospital. The unit was sparkling clean with a comfortable bed and two pillows each and bedside lamps bright enough to read by. The bathroom was top rate offering a spa bath as well as shower and all the soaps and lotions one could need. Proximity to the road was not a noise problem for us, but we did have a unit at the back. Would definitely stay again and can recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly locale.

The check in process at this motel was efficient and the room facilities were amazing. The rooms were also clean and spacious. I was awake for 30 hours before sleeping and the beds were unbelievably comfortable.

The room was very clean and the bathroom was lovely. I highly recommend The Astra Motor Lodge. I will definitely be staying again. P.s. if she offers you milk, take the milk it's lovely.

We are here for my friend to have surgery. The man that owns the place went above and beyond to be helpful. I would very highly recommend this motel to everyone. Parking available. The girls that do the housekeeping were also wonderful and helpful.

We needed accomodation near the hospital, this place was in the perfect location. We booked for two nights then checked out, upon this we drove to the hospital to park up for the day but there were no parking available, so we went back to the lodge and the happily let us park there for the day, as it happened we needed another night accommodation and Rachel gave us back the room we had checked out of, we were extremely grateful. The room was perfect, super comfortable bed, all clean and tidy. I would highly recommend and should we need accommodation for hospital visits again which I’m sure we will this will be our first call. Thank you so much you made a very stressful time a little easier

Down from Auckland for a 1 night game to the rugby at FMG Stadium. Required an uber to the Stadium. Easy to find Lodge with Spa bath included in price. Will be going back again.

Incredible service. Rachel provided us with ongoing service over a substantial period of time providing flexibility, care and availability of service to our needs every step of the way. I highly recommend Astra Motor Lodge to anyone travelling whether it is personal or business. You made my job so much easier, helping our business during a crucial time. Thank you
