Parkview on Hagley

Shower was just a drizzle and very noisy, jets in the bath was very noisy. The breakfast, eggs over cooked bacon undercooked. There was a bag of coffee for plunger, but no plunger.Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean.

Stayed 2 nights here visiting our son at UniVery good value, clean, spacious and warm. Beds were good, bathroom clean good hot water close to the park for walks and takeaways just around the corner

Decided to stay here due to location. Arrived in room to a broken couch, foam hanging out both sides and cushions sliding down to floor. Rubbish from previous occupants still in bin including lab test results. I left a message at the unattended desk but wasn’t called back. Day 2 I asked to have couch replaced as we were having guests in the afternoon. I was told it would be done.It never was. You’d think for $500+ you wouldn’t have badly broken furniture to use.

I specifically booked to stay at Parkview on Hagley as they did breakfast included. The first morning the breakfast room was closed. According to the info book in the room, breakfast on Sunday starts at 8am - the room never opened.I tried to find a staff member and could only locate a cleaner who told me that breakfast was the following day. The following day, same again - nothing. Tried to find a staff member and found the same cleaner who just told me that there was no breakfast.I emailed direct to complain but never heard back. Great room, zero service and do not deliver on what you pay for. I would recommend giving this place a miss.

Spend 2 nights here. The room was not what was in the photo, sure didn't order a room with spare single bed. Couch had stuffing hanging out of it like a dog had attacked it. Couch was broken also, carpet was old clean bathroom but there was more water coming from where the hose joined the head than coming out of the head. No toaster or coffee plunger as advertisedNever anyone at reception won't be going back.

Stayed 3 nights. Room was big but dated. Stains on the duvet and rubbish left by previous guests still in the bin.Reception was blunt and after requesting a late checkout (only one hour) and was approved as a VR member, some guy knocked on my door at 10 saying it’s checkout time. Got the feeling I was being evicted.Overall, ok accomodation (bring your own pillows) but service is very sub par. Won’t stay again.

Always stay here, great size rooms and close to the city. Free parking, always a bonus. Use to stay somewhere else in the city until they started charging $15 a night parking.

Was downgraded rooms, Leaky shower head, Window that didn't close properly. No balcony or bath as advertised. Filthy ceiling Was told id get a 50% refund and would call Monday. Ended up having to chase up with Expedia to get my refund
