happened to me 3 years ago when i was new to queenstown, and now I decided to leave a comment because i cant believe why this mechanic still opens in queenstown and ripping people. had my car sent to fix the engine end up overcharge me and wasnt get fixed, overheating still happens and i paid more than 2000nzd. argue with them and they say thats how it is and no refund. this is the worst mechanic ever in queenstown and if you ask brazilian community in queenstown they all know about this guy is terrible.

This happened like two years ago. We took our car to this place in order to get the wof done, he sent us a text with all the things that should be fixed to get the wof done and the price, we agreed on doing it. Next day he send us another text saying everything was fixed, but the car didn't pass the wof anyway LOL. Extremely dodgy people, avoid it at all cost, specially if you are a backpacker.Latinos en general, ni se molesten en venir acá, a los locales los trata bien pero a nosotros si nos puede cargar nos caga. Miles de historias de este tipo en la vuelta, vayan a otro mecánico.

Professional, affordable, helpful and friendly.We struck some trouble while holidaying in Queenstown with two blades breaking off out radiator fan on new years eve so were unable to use our vehicle and as we were in need returning home this was quite problematic. JR were the only mechanic that gave us the time of day and even though they could not complete a full repair due to availability of a replacement they came up with a temporary solution to get our vehicle and family home.Your time was so much appreciated... thank you

We had very bad experience with this service - 3 months to solve 1 problem, the bill was double than price we agreed (over 4K) and car was in worse condition than before service (oil leaking etc)...Add: Junior, if you want to show us CCTV to prove that you were refusing to release our car for 3 months and police report how we suit you and open dispute tribunal with you for destroying our car by your extremely unprofessional service"...please do so..."

Traveling through Queenstown and our vehicle sprung a bad oil leak. JR was able to get us in quickly to diagnose and fix. Had our vehicle back the next evening. Problem was fixed using factory parts (better quality), and engine looked brand new after he was done. Easy to deal with and friendly service. Couldn't recommend highly enough! Spectacular work.

Horrible service, says they will do something and never do it. Lack of communication and responsibility towards their clients. Prices things according to your face. Don't recommend.

I had trouble starting my car. The next day we were going to milford sound. I called few Mechanics but only JR Mechanic answered my call. They changed my spark plug within an hour and we were off. Very grateful for the immediate work done on my car. Cost was reasonable. Thank you.
