Thought we would check out this restaurant for restaurant month 2021.. we were not disappointed!! Really good portion sizes and amazing food!! I highly recommend checking it out especially during restaurant month.

Astor Tapas Bar And Eatery
I feel like the pictures speak for themselves. The food was beautifully presented and also so, so delicious! The meatballs were a standout as well as the lamb. I really liked the green salad. Our cocktails were also really nice. Service was great and it was staggered service so we could make space for all the dishes we tried. Really lovely spot for a date night. Bathrooms were also nice and clean.

We dined here thanks to the gift of a gift voucher which had a special menu. The venison meatballs were melt in the mouth divine as was the calamari and lamb shank. Table next to us had the paella which made me salivate, generous portions. Beautiful view of the waterfront too.

We had the Paella (just the regular one), chrizo mushrooms and the gnocchi, all were very good. The paella had plenty of seafood and sausage. The gnocchi were served in a lovely (a bit too sweet for one, perfectly sweet for the other) creamy sauce. The mushrooms were OK but nothing to write home about. Topped off dinner by sharing the brownie which was good. No complaints about the service either which was friendly and attentive.

Dined here for the first time tonight with family. Seriously impressed with the service and food. The filet mignon and the lamb shank mains were stand-outs but gotta say, everything tasted so damn good. I can't wait to go back! :)

Food too oily, order roasted chicken and instead a proper sauce was just oil. It's a nice location. Not many people working here so you will wait long time to get your meal. I wouldn't come back due to food quality. Ah, knife is really small (desert size) and it's used for all dishes which makes hard to hold

Went here with family for a special occasion and throughly enjoyed our time and food! The ambiance was wonderful, there was a very talented musician playing guitar and singing. The restaurant was full and we were running a tad but late but they were very accommodation and lovely. All the food was delicious. We especially loved the venison meatballs and the paella! Highly recommended!

Had to wait 45 mins for the meal to arrive, no apology were given.Food were OK, the lamb shank were overcooked in my opinion.But what i really don't like is when i were asked to provide feedback, i mentioned the long wait time.To my surprise, the manager responded by telling me that this is not a takeaway restaurant with a condescending tone as if i never been to many restaurants.Quite often, delays are cause by understaffed kitchen, which is understandable. But it seems apology has the weight of gold for this manager.

Positives: Food quality is very good. Food arrived lightning fast. Good variety of items on the menu.Negatives: The dishes are very fatty, especially the lamb shank needs to be balanced with some sweet sauce. Portion sizes are very small for the price - we went with first table which made the prices reasonable. Customer service is poor, the waiters and waitresses don't notice if a table wants something, even if the restaurant isn't busy.Overall only worth going back to with first table or some form of discount.

We booked a table at Astor’s last Sunday at 6pm through First Table.Astors is located on the wharf so it’s a great view! The place is nicely decorated and good music which sets the vibe.We ordered a few tapas to start which were the clams, calamares and the bread and dips. Just for taste we realised the clams weren’t really our thing (that was the first time trying them). The calamares was delish as so was the bread and dips.For our mains we ordered the lamb shanks which were beeeeautiful. It came with veggies as well which were superb! There was nothing wrong with the meal, we absolutely enjoyed it.To top it off we also got a dessert at the end, I took the turmeric and rhubarb panacota and my partner grabbed the lemon tart. Both were so Devine!The food was delicious and the way the food was presented was great! The service was good too, it was a staggered service so our table didn’t get cluttered by each meal.The overall experience was superb. 10/10 recommend!
