Very humble facade, though it is quite interesting once inside. Bring a torch, head lamp is best or you won't make it more than a few meters inside. It does get a bit narrow and low in places - tall people, you've been warned. There is a warning that it is prone to flooding, and not to enter before, during or after heavy rain.

So cool to have this amenity available. We went from entrance 1 to entrance 2, short spin and any shoes are suitable

Really cool caving experience. Bring headlamps and be prepared to get a bit wet and muddy on the legs/hands. Good shoes are a must (slippery)! We wore water shoes. Climbing, crawling, crouching through tunnels and wading through water pools. 3 ladders to navigate. Took us about 1hr to complete. Even stopped to see glowworms. At the end, you pop out at the road. If you turn left, you can walk up to the parking lot 200m away. Or navigate backwards through the cave again (following yellow arrows instead this time).

Incredible experience! It's so cool that caves like this are still open to the public. That way it's an actual adventure and such a great experience. We went in there without knowing much about them so we only wore hiking shoes had one flashlight and one phone but we did get pretty far with the flashlight in our mouth. Definitely recommend a headlamp! We eventually had to turn around because we got to a lake we couldn't cross with our equipment, especially since we didn't know how deep it was but reading other reviews it seems like you could have waded through with water shoes. The way back was well marked as well but the occasional wondering if we had actually been here before made everything just more exciting! This was definitely one of my highlights here in New Zealand.

Great experience, take headlight with you and preferably shorts and be ready to walk in water. There are some narrow and low spaces, so be fit to do some bending and stretching, but the route is marked with reflective signs, so don't get lost. 1 hour of safe underground experience.

Epic cave for beginners. We were the only people there.Easy to navigate, bring glow sticks for returning to make it easier, we didn't realize we ended up coming out of entry 2

Definetely worth visiting (and is for free!), not so much about the stalactites as most are not active, but for the arched rocks, fossils and glowwarms. It is a long cave system and you will need to crawl at a few spots. Not reccomended for sole passengers.

Very cool experience, would have never been allowed in Germany I guess. Very slippery, mind your steps. Headlamp is definitely required. Turn it off every now and then and you will see glowworms. I managed to climb around the water holes with some boulder techniques, but it's not easy. Otherwise you will get wet till the knees or so. Follow the white signs.Don't shrink back from the beginning, the rest of the cave you can mostly walk and sometimes crawl.Awesome experience!
