So we came to Stewart Island with a full crew of documentary filmmakers, we had many people with different food requirements and many different individual needs, Maggie and the Snuggery team not only prepared amazing breakfasts and lunches for us, they also sent us out with fresh baked cookies, thermoses of hot, fresh coffee, woke up before dawn to make sure everything was in order. We even came in two days when the Snuggery was shut and Maggie let us drink our coffee and eat our breakfasts there with her, the overall level of care and attention was above and beyond what any of us were expecting and we will certainly be calling in again the next time we visit Stewart Island. An absolute GEM of a place and a team. Thank you again for taking such good care of us!

The place has an awesome feeling and looks amazing. Food is yummy (we had bagels, tan slice, raw slice, biscuit and everything was sooo good !! )and coffee was just perfect ! Wish I lived here to come everyday :)

Enjoyed breakfast at The Snuggery. Just across the road from the Backpackers. Great variety of delicious cabinet food available and excellent coffee.An added quaintness was the wide variety of formica tables, souvenir teaspoons and crockery in the old tidily refurbished museum

Fabulous experience. Friendly service and excellent quality coffees and cabinet food. Lots of care taken by the owners to ensure quality and comfort. Homemade sourdough bread top notch. Absolute standout.

Gorgeous and cosy wee space, very friendly staff and beautiful coffee! Range of milk options too. Great range of wholesome, tasty food. Highly recommend a visit while on the island!

This place was the absolute highlight of my trip to Rakiura. Beautiful kai, great coffee, phenomenally curated vibe and excellent company. Well done kōrua. Unmissable (literally) if you’re in Oban. Can’t wait to see what you guys do with the place in the future, too.
