The best in veriety tropical and marine life by far. Excellent in knowledge and top notch in advice. I will be going back as a regular not only for fish but for shopping their shelves.

I want to give the biggest thanks to Emma who groomed Yasha for me while I was home on holiday in Rotorua. You're the best and am happy to say Yasha is now living the best life with her new owner and family who took her only days after she was groomed. If anyone is looking for a great groomer, hit up Emma at Wonderworld.

Beautiful, large pet shop - mice, hamsters, birds and a huge aquarium. They allow you to bring in your dogs☺️Great advice for dog medicine and food. Always fantastic, friendly service from all of the staff.Good parking and wheelchair accessible

Had been here many times growing up. Some really fond memories :) Managed to visit recently , still awesome . Great range of fish . Very impressed with the pricing, very fair. Clean tanks , happy fish , friendly staff .

Great expert advice and wide range of products.They helped me out when getting an axolotl for my son; from food, tank, preping and testing the water. There prices on -par with any other independent store in nz.

The staff are always so helpful and knowledgeable, they have a large variety of fish from goldfish, cichlids and community tank fish, and some oddball rarer fish. Super happy to see more rodents and birds too! it's absolutely my happy place and I go out of my way to visit anytime I'm in Rotorua, if only we had one like this in Whakatane!

Wonder world has changed and continues to develop. It's under new ownership, and this has breathed new life into the shop.Particularly the aquatics department. The owners have hired someone (Jordan) who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic in fish keeping to run the aquatics, and it shows.There's now a good selection of fish you won't see elsewhere in town, the tanks are being well maintained, and the product selection is improving all the time.Livestock prices may be a little more than the likes of animates or petstock, but that's because of the costs associated with the better care that the animals receive in the shop. As a result the fish may be a few dollars more expensive, but they're likely healthier and will live longer and have fewer problems than the same species bought from a chain shop.Overall, if you're into fish keeping and haven't been to wonder world yet, or haven't visited in the last 6 months, I thoroughly recommend a visit.
