Very nice scenery, but Google map seems not putting me at a right spot. It’s about 2.5 hrs drive from Wanaka, and mostly flat or gentle slopes surfaces. Not what I would assume to be mountainous drive. Along the way, you will be able to view the snowy mountains and beautiful Lake Pukaki. There is a Mobile Petrol station along the way in case you are worried about fuel level.

Stunning views and excellent hikes. Did the Mueller Hut and it was worth it! The steps at the beginning are steep and some of them quite high. The second part are mostly stones and gravel to climp. Hiking poles are advised for goind down.

A scenic drive leads to a just as scenic walking/hiking (very easy) trail. We went on an overcast day but it was still beautiful!A few people on the trail in the morning but that didn’t hinder our ability to walk at our own pace. Would definitely recommend as a relaxing walk. Low effort for high aesthetic value.

Amazing piece of nature. So much to see, a feast for my eyes & Nikon. New Zealand really have got it right looking after their natural wilderness. Love the walks. Thank you New Zealand.

Very weather dependent on how good of a view you get, low cloud and fog can make it hard for the perfect photo opportunity, but when it is clear, the views are magnificent! Very peaceful, but very busy walkways.

Very versatile place. Lots of different activities possible, from easy walking to serious mountaineering in summer to heli skiing in winter. Helicopter rides, hikes, over night trails,... And all in view of Mt. Cook. The whole mountain range is a great background for your vacation memories.

Absolutely beautiful mountains ranges with glaciers and waterfalls. Really surprised at the scale of it all. Will be going back again but camping this time.

A beautiful place to hike. We came down from Melbourne to explore what NZ had to offer. We were blown away by the views. In September, it was cold but not freezing. There was slushy snow on the sides of the paths. We actually worked up a sweat from hiking. Unfortunately we didn't make it all the way and had to turn back... But we'll be back. The views are too amazing too see just once in a lifetime.
