I will never understand the Mayors reasons for not allowing a full hockey turf in this park. A hockey turf in this park would almost have every sport in one spot. Hockey started asking back in 1980

Handy overnight parking spot, close to town, pools, showers, etc(during opening hours), on-site toilet also. No rubbish facilities unfortunately.

Nice. However for a preseason Super Rugby game I don't think they were quite prepared . The seating was over heavy on the corporate tents which meant us less wealthy people didn't have as much space as there should have been.Beautiful part of the country.There are a lot of other activities available which unfortunately I didn't have time to see.

We can park our motorhomes and caravans here if we are NZMCA members. It's very handy to town and to cycle trails. The swimming pool is nice too.
