Clean park with kids pool, playground, skater park, walking avenues, etc.Direct entrance to the beach. Free car parking. During summertime, you can visit and watch the famous blue penguins here, as well for free.

What a great place to stop in Timaru something for everyone and from what I can see and all free. Avery great selection of Australian parrots, shallow swimming pool, kids road track with working lights and giveaway signs. This is just what I could see on my way to find a good Cafe and coffee

Nice and quite city with pleasant atmosphere. Thou I have not spent much time here but it was good. The garden here is very good if you want to spend some time with your family. There is a rose garden inside it and a bird sanctuary with swimming pool, basketball court, lawn tennis court and many more grounds with a beach alongside. They also have a nice paling space for all types of vehicle including RVs .

Our children enjoyed the carnival here alot! Free entry with rides $2, $4, $6, $8 & $10. Bouncy castle, bumper boats, face painting, temporary tattoos, food and slushies. Skate park, padding pool and beach too.

Tacky and dated to the max (when was the last time the rides were safety inspected?) but kids love it, the playground is reasonably fun and all the grass is lush, pretty much any activity kids could ever want to fill out an afternoon or morning. The theme park rides range between $2-6 dollars for all depending on how crazy they are!!!!

Had a great time on the fairground rides. Cheap prices ($2-5 per ticket) and although the rides themselves are pretty old and rickety feeling, we still enjoyed ourselves and had a good time. Definitely wouldn't let a child (under 10) go on without an adult though.

A collection of grounds, parks and gardens leading towards the beach and sand dunes. A beautiful site, and a must see for tourists and/or people driving through the town. A large staircase and viewing platform leads you to the inner town centre and the main shopping strip with local cafe's, shops and restaurants. There is also a wharf (close to the port/shipping area) to walk down, for further exploring. Whole thing would take less than an hour, longer if you're planning on staying at the beach and having a picnic.
