Arthur's Pass National Park
The best way to start 2022. We covered most of the tracks around Arthur's pass. Definitely satisfied my desire to see waterfalls, they are everywhere. Relatively easy to moderate walks that was suitable for our 13 year old daughter. Crossing bridges, water streams enjoying the fawn and flora was soul satisfying. Ample car parks, clean toilets and friendly i centre staff.

Definitely worth to spend at least a day over there. Some nice hike and walk. Did the avalanche peak hike and devil punchbowl fall in the same day. Worth it. And probably stop in one of the cafe before to leave.

This National park is excellent and I defintely recommend to stop by it for at least a day trip if you don't have the time for a multi-day track. The views are quite simply spectacular, and chances are, you will meet a cheeky Kea, who will try to take something from you. I happened to see both a camera and a chocolate bar being taken, what will you see?

Arthur's Pass National Park
Beautiful area. It doesn’t have the initial oomph and grandeur of Mount Cook but driving along the river with the mountain ranges in the distance is quite a treat. Lots of short walks to start off with ending in either waterfalls or rivers and walking under a lovely beech forest festooned with green moss. If fit enough, it’s a must to climb to Avalanche peak and get 360 degree views.

Arthur's Pass National Park
A refreshing place to relax with open air walks to viewing spots eg film locations or an easy hike thru the beech forest to see the Devil's Punchbowl Waterfall, native birds and various fungi along the track.

Loved the national park!It really feels like you're in the wilderness. The town centre is as big as one tiny street, so you're not surrounded with crowds, but with like minded people who wanna take in the clean air, mountains and gorgeous views.I would have happily spent a week there discovering more tracks, if we had more time. It's a must see place if you're into hiking and wildlife

Arthur's Pass National Park
We did the waterfall route. Easy 15min hike up and 15min hike down. Nice waterfall and phototaking spot. The views at the bottom was also really amazing with the mountain range in the background and the water stream

Arthur's Pass National Park
Fantastic destination, for walks, treks, tramps and for meeting fabulous friendly people! Did various day hikes ranging from easy to complex, the information centre is really helpful for getting the lowdown on them, and also the weather. Loved watching and listening to the kea :) was also super grateful to locals who let me hitch rides with them to and from the village, thanks!

Dramatic views in a peaceful setting. We drove a few hours from Timaru to visit Arthur's Pass on a crisp, cool autumn day. There were only a few other hikers at the park as we arrived fairly early. The hiking was easy to moderate with a few steady grades but nothing too intense.Dress warm for visits during the cooler seasons because the towering mountains and heavy vegetation makes for little sunlight poking through to warm you up.
