Loved the Galipoli display. Even found some photos taken by my grandfather. My favorite though, the Britten motorcycle

Love the Wellington Botanical Gardens. We went for the light show and live music. These gardens really are unique. There is lots of trees and random paths to explore. If you are looking for a good photo backdrop, this place is perfect. Lots of spaces for a different look, without having to move too far.Toilets were clean and well lit.Parking can be a challenge. You can push a wheelchair through a bit of the gardens but it is limited before you have hills to deal with

The Wellington Botanic Garden is a true gem nestled in the heart of the vibrant city of Wellington, New Zealand. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this stunning garden and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The garden is impeccably maintained and the variety of flora on display is truly impressive. From the lush greenery of the Rose Garden to the towering trees in the native forest, there is something for everyone to enjoy. But perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Wellington Botanic Garden is the breathtaking views it offers. From the top of the Cable Car Lookout, I was able to take in panoramic vistas of the city, harbour, and surrounding mountains. It was a truly unforgettable experience.Overall, I would highly recommend the Wellington Botanic Garden to anyone visiting the area. It's a peaceful and serene oasis in the middle of a bustling city, and a wonderful place to spend a few hours or an entire day.

Beautiful morning walk here. The walk was gorgeous but things botanic were found wanting until we found “A Henry”. God bless him for his adoration of the human female form alone.

Great place to walk around and have some good fresh breeze of air. There is a lot of place to explore within the gardens.Lots of big trees and flowers all around its a good view to walk. The cable car and planetarium with gallery are also fun to be.

Beautiful flowers and plants. It's such a fabulous idea to take the cable car from the top and then take a walk down the Botanical Gardens. If you have kids, there is a lovely playground on the way down. A short walk about 10 minutes or so to the Parliament house. Then back to rest of the city for our rest at the hotel.

A great, well laid out garden. A good walk through the gardens. It is easy to get to either by foot or by tram. Plenty of places to sit and admire the view. Playground within for the park. It is a great place to visit whilst in Wellington.

Bought a return ticket on the cable car online. $11 per adult. Travelled up. Then, we walked through the botanic gardens. When initially I saw the gardens, I thought they looked a little run down at the top, but in actual fact, I think on reflection, they are more naturalistic. Some of the trees are magnificent. As you walk through (and downhill, quite steeply at times), the gardens' appearance changes to be more formal. I'm not sure if this is intended. If you only want to buy a single, you can travel up, then walk down through the gardens, which are extensive, although it brings you out in a different area. One other thing. When a cruise ship is in port the queue to the cable car extends quite a way..
