Lovely spot, stayed here a night in the caravan. $5 per vehicle per night. Lovely and peaceful, felt safe. Room for a dozen or so campers. Short drive from town

Nice peaceful park in Norsewood. A freedom camp also. Cafe and hotel closed Mon & Tues. Well kept settlers cemetery, Quaint town with Pioneer Museum, and loaded with Scandanavian history. Also NZ wool shop on lower Norsewood has top rated clothing made in NZ formerly known as Norswear. Expensive but too if the line products

Great campsite, should be open to all types of camping as it has a toilet on site it makes no sense its restricted to Certified Self Contained only. Anyway, nice gravel carpark, toilet is good and clean, (but may pay to bring own paper just in case). Its a great base for the annual Viking Festival with the Norwegian heritage in the whole area.

Loved it here. Very reasonable rate ($5 per adult), clean toilet, community kitchen available, lovely rural outlook, excellent shaded seating area, great firm level parking area, peaceful and welcoming. Highly recommended self contained overnighter. Also, dogs allowed on lead.

Arrive late toilets locked kitchen area locked the next day was worse had one of the pottery ladies ordered me to hand over money then wouldn't let me change my phone give this place a miss the local people don't want people or tourists to use the place not as big as it looks with 1/2 been cut off was a same would of be a nice place once but now closed to public and tourist.

Enjoyable atmosphere. Not too crowded but just not enough seating around the place. Wuold loved to have seen more of the traditional sporing activities.

Nice view of the Ruahine Ranges. Great indoor area if weather isn't good or you want to do a movie night like we did. Good kitchen and toilets. Very reasonably priced too.
