Pakowhai Regional Park (Dog Park)

PLENTY of parking, beautiful trails, and an overall go-to for dog walks.

Such a beautiful park to take your fur baby or even just yourself! Gorgeous views and lots of varied tracks around! My go to walking spot.

The best park for the dog. Its a wide and spacious place to run and play and they can swim in the river while the owner can sit and watch the dog while playing with the other dog. Our dog really love this park.

Great dog walks and a river if your dog likes a swim ample car parking and circular trail safe for dogs off lead would rate highly

Really enjoyed our walk today. We don't have a dog, but enjoyed watching all the happy dogs we encountered along the way. I'm currently having to use a knee scooter, but found the tracks relatively easy to negotiate, except for needing help up a rather steep slope. I also appreciated the fact that the park is free from litter, making it an enjoyable place to be.

Very nice park to walk with your dog. Clean and good environment. A lot of trees to shade you from the strong sunlight during hot summer time.

Beautiful spot, our go to park in Napier. Kids love the old historic bridge. Looks like an awesome place to run a dog also!

Good to visit everyday for walk, most beautiful part on a cherry blossom season.

Our dogs love this place. The walk around the whole park is about 2.5km, but there are shorter routes around. Great for a gentle walk as well for running with your dogs. Off the lead allowed, plenty of rubbish bins and poop bags around the park for doggy doodoo's. The stream is fantastic relief for hot dogs. Lovely plantings and fruit trees around park. There's a long drop toilet as well, down the path (half way down ?) left side path of carpark. New car park with lots of parking, some shaded parks too. Many memorials around the park for those interested. And daffodils in spring time. Great place for family picnics, but not many picnic tables, so take a rug. There are a few seats around the park and also a cool dog exercise training area.
