Another dog friendly spot in Browns Bay if you fancy bring away from the beach. A fantastic kids playground, very impressive. Watch out for the ducks if your dog isn't under your control. Good parking.

Kids loved the new pump track that's up, if you haven't been already, you better get down there with the kids and their scooters

Amazing play space and lovely walking g around the park. Teenage swings, plus playground for all ages. Plus sports parks tennis. Eels a plenty and I'm sure there must a cafe nearby we just didn't look.

Freyberg Park
Great sports fields for rugby and cricket, with racquets club and bowling club adjacent. Lovely place to walk. It is connected to Sherwood reserve/playground and shops at the far end. The playground has a Sherwood theme and some well-thought out and unusual play equipment.

The huge writhing mass of protected eels is amazing. Some.of them are quite big. Brave people take down meat (no bread though it's really bad for eels) and will brave the creek to hand feed and stroke an eel. Free outdoor entertainment and my 6 year old granddaughter loved it.Really nice walkways and everyone smiles and says hello.

My home turf for the best part of 20 years. Have played all sorts of sports here and watch many too. Regularly maintained by council and the fields are a great part of the local community.

Nice playground but the surrounding grounds are slushy mud and it stinks. The waterways are filthy and the water also stinks. Here is a horrible slime across some of the pathways. The sports fields lower down are good though. But if you take a pet and they get muddy or go in the water .....expect them to stink also.
