Hawke's Bay Airport
After renovations it’s one of the nicest and most functional regional airports in the country. Plenty of room , everything you need before the flight or upon arrival and all very close together without the need to walk for miles. Checkin area has multiple self service kiosks, there is a nice cafe with good coffee and selection of snacks, lounge upstairs and most importantly it really doesn’t feel that stressful as at some other big airports. Well done !

I've used Hawkes bay airport for good long time but sadly they have just implemented a new parking system that means you have took you to pay for your ticket. It is a shambles and he's be put back to the old system very quickly.

Modern and streamlined airport. Easy for regional flights without checked luggage. Limited food options, just a cafe, but the range is good there. Free WiFi too.

Parking designed by Halfwits. Poor Sarah having to deal with irate public like me. unnecessarily dealing with incompetence of muppets delivering the most basic of infrastructure. Dropping off customers and business associates should be painless and simple. Fire your parking provider. It’s insulting enough we’re getting fleeced by govt and air nz with out having to deal the most of things which should be simple. Put Sarah in charge of the whole airport I bet if this lady was running the show things would be a hell of a lot smoother. Stuck again behind a tail back. Two exits pronto

Superb bike infrastructure. A scenic boardwalk entranceway leading to (with a small gap yet to be built) an undercover bike garage. Complete with security cameras, tools and plugs for e bike charging. I biked in from Clive and easily transitioned onto the flight with a backpack in a pannier bag. Would recommend this to others, free parking and a mental and physical boost to start the day.

Took my son for an early flight. He had checked in online previous day. Queue was long so by the time he was able to get tags for luggage , he was 2 minutes late and was not allowed on. The plane had not even boarded. The customer services woman was rude and unhelpful. He had to pay another $50 for a later flight, the airport might look nicer but I would prefer more courteous helpful reasonable staff. Such a let down for Napier airports reputation.

Nice to see the building finished. Had to go twice yesterday, once to pick up and once to drop off.. Both times there were issues with the rego scanning they use for parking. In the morning it didn't recognize our rego or at least did nothing.. The woman ahead of us had the same issue and we just drove out as the barrier was raised to let ppl out. I'm the afternoon we were able to pay and at the exit the barrier was raised again. Looks like they had issues all day.
