Amisfield Restaurant and Cellar Door
We were absolutely delighted with our 11 course degustation and matching wines experience! Executive Chef Vaughan Mabee did an amazing job of combining local produce and kiwi natives to create a truly unique and enjoyable experience, especially for us international travelers. Kudos to the sommelier, Marek Przyborek, for the perfect pairings of crisp, fresh, earthy, dry, and sweet wines for each course. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience!

Amisfield Restaurant and Cellar Door
We did a wine tasting here and it was great! The bar attendant was super knowledgeable and lovely! She gave us great recommendations and chatted with us while we drank. I'm not sure of her name (she said she was off to France in July) so I hope she is acknowledged from this feedback. The atmosphere here was great and restaurant looked very impressive.

Amazing and theatrical degustation menu experience (with matching wines). A truly memorable meal! Service was excellent - professional and also friendly (not stuffy at all!). Great ambiance in the dining room as well.

One of the best dining experiences of my life. Every single dish has a story, fresh produce (some they produce themselves), unique textures and flavours. I am in awe of this place and they are worth every dollar.

The chef's ideas were excellent, and each dish was stunning. The service was great too. The only downside for me was that the sauce was a bit salty. Overall , It was a lovely experience!

Absolutely amazing! Theatre combined with outstanding food - an absolute rarity. This restaurant stands head and shoulders above everything else and for good reason - the attention to detail; the ingenuity of the food; the beauty of the presentation and great service on top of that. Add a stunning wine list, and you easily have one of the most amazing culinary experiences not only in NZ; but arguably in the world. Well done Amisfield; you’re a true gem.

In our opinion, this is the best restaurant in New Zealand! The food is absolutely delicious and every dish hits the mark. The scenery is beautiful, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or special occasion. The ambience is great, with a relaxed and elegant vibe. The staff are attentive and professional, always making sure our experience is enjoyable.

Such a great experience to do wine tasting here.Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.From bubble, orange wine, rose to pinot noir etc, very wide product range.$15 for 5 tastings, very good value.

Went there two weeks ago after having been probably 3-4 times before. Lacked a bit of vibe this time for sure. Service was friendly and attentive, didn’t have to wait for long. Advised it was my partners birthday in the booking, 3 weeks prior and tried to call on the day with no answer and I was wanting to buy a special desert to celebrate. All dishes were nice but I feel the lamb dish we had which was 4 ways was served medium and should have been medium rare. Little disappointing that cheapest Pinot is by the glass $27 but if you don’t like it don’t order it. Still love the place though.

Touted by some critics as NZ’s best restaurant, Amisfield well and truly lived up to the hype.This was a simply great meal, stretched out over more than 2 hours, as multiple course of superb food were delivered with superb, friendly service.They had no problems dealing with dietary issues and modified the dishes to suit.Wine parings were excellent, and a great way to experience the Amisfield range.And the setting, on the terrace looking over the vineyards with the hills above, just made this a perfect experience.
