Ezi Car Rental - Queenstown Airport

I’m very impressed with the car rental that I got considering with what I paid for. The price is cheaper than other car rental companies. I think this car is almost brand new as the odometer is only at 6000 plus kms. The car is so neat and tidy. Had no mechanicalproblems. The pick up and return process is so fast and easy. I will definitely book with ezicar rental again.

Tried to pickup the car on my flight arrival, 3 hours earlier than scheduled car pickup time, car was available but I was told I will need to drop it early 3 hours, or, wait for my pick-up time, or, pay for an additional day.I waited for my pick-up time but thought, if the car is available, not rented till three hours before pick-up time, it is unlikely someone else will book it, pickup and return it within this time frame.Providing this flexibility for ezi car customers, if available on pick-up, may encourage more customers to use ezi cars.The car was advertised as 5 seats while searching the car model indicated that 2 additional seats can be opened while reducing g storage area, this was very handy for a road trip with the kids and wasn't mentioned on ezi website.Other than this, easy pick-up, nice car, enjoyed my time.Cheers,Moustafa

Recently hired a vehicle through Ezi Car Rentals in Queenstown and finished with vehicle one day earlier than expected. Tried to return the vehicle expecting a refund for the early return but got no refund. Customer service attended was rude and not accommodating at all as I originally booked the vehicle for 5 days but extended it last minute for an extra day so do be mindful when booking with Ezi Car. The vehicle was new but as soon as we started to drive the vehicle it was indicating it required a service. Definitely would not be hiring through this company again VERY disappointing!

Disappointed with the hire experience.I was a counter customer hiring from Christchurch to Queenstown. I chose Ezi as I wanted to support a local Kiwi operator compared to the majors.After hiring I discovered that I could have saved 10% on my $1600 booking if counter staff had simply mentioned that I sign up for the online newsletter at the time of booking. Management declined to apply this retrospectively.The total cost of the booking was mentioned but not that their one way drop fee to Queenstown was $600! That was triple the price of Avis, Thrifty, and Sixt of around $200. Management declined to reduce this. It feels extortionist.The car itself has been pleasant to drive and hassle free. But don’t expect any local advantage or goodwill when hiring from Ezi.

We had very good experience with Ezi at their Queenstown airport branch. Both pickup and drop off were fast, minimum paperwork, they didn’t try to sell us anything above we booked online. We liked Hyundai hybrid, fuel efficient and enough space to store our two big bags. We would happily rent again with Ezi at any of their locations in the future.

This was our 1st travel in more 3 years. I appreciate that the process was smooth and stress free from when I picked up to returning the vehicle. Also big thanks for the upgrade from a 2wd to a 4wd, and a nearly new one at that. Yes I will hire Ezi again if ever we visit NZ in the future. Car interior tidy and clean.

The car is good and it won't take long to pick the car. When I picked the car, they told me that my booking name is different from my driving licence. And they helped me to solve the problem. It took some time,but they helped me with patience and gave us a big smile when we left. Thanks a lot!
