I used to travel from the city to buy takeaways here but will NOT be back. Dishes have become overwhelmingly vegetables or rice. Meat, chicken or shrimps are virtually non existent and when I phoned to give feedback (as I thought the meat had been forgotten and that the previous occasion had been a mistake also), I was asked what I expected given the costs of the dishes!! Seriously? Put the prices up. Nothing worse than arriving home to find meat, chicken and shrimps have simply been omitted.

I have been coming here for 3 years and have never been let down.The owners are lovely and the fish n chips are top notch. I heavily suggest the cheeseburger, it is the best tasting and value for money in town.

You could say that this is the nan-KING of takeaways in the Brooklyn area! Ahem... Brooklyn Wellington not Brooklyn New York of course. A veritable smorgasbord of flavours and options, served up with a smile. Takes you back to a time when fish was real fish, chips were real chips and vinegar flows like a Mesopotamian river. chips were so nice! the fish here is a lot bigger than the other fishnchip shop in brooklyn and cooked well. the double meat burger was good the patties were big and had lots of sauce but the salad wasnt great. the potato fritters are nice! and the $2.50 1.5L drinks have got to be the cheapest drinks anywhere in brooklyn!

Definitely better food than nudel or noodle canteen thats for sure! Staff are unbelievably lovely. The 2 favourite dishes I've had lately are bambi goreng and Singapore noodles

I had 2 dishes that were meant to be combination meats and the other beef. 80% of the ingredients were massive chunks of of brocolli. Hardly any meat at all I wouldn't recommend

The dumplings are a must!!!! Great value , tasty and bigger than any other dumplings I have had in the cbd. Has a vibe of that old school Chinese takeaways, which brooklyn has seriously been missing!!!!! Only negative I could say is, that I wish they were open a little bit longer.

Nanking takeaways is a family run fish and chip shop located on Cleveland Street in Brooklyn. They are always super friendly with a smile and a lollipop for our kids. The servings are a good size and they consistently deliver quality. Friday night fish and chips has become a firm tradition for our family.

Best food, best service, and best prices. Me and my boyfriend love going there to pick up chips if we already have food. We both adore the lady cashier, she's so nice and cheerful. She's part of the reason I keep returning, as well as the amazing chips.
