Pistachio Mandarin Language Centre

I’ve been attending the adult classes at Pistachio Mandarin language centre for several terms now and I’ve seen a big improvement in my conversational mandarin. The classes are very motivating as you get plenty of opportunities to use mandarin with a heavy focus on conversational and daily expressions (as opposed to theory and written language). You are also encouraged to contribute and ask questions as much as possible. Yatchun is very supportive and encourages feedback and open communication. The classes have helped me overcome my nerves around using the language and improved my pronunciation, retention and recall. The adult classes are cleverly catered for adult learning, and we are encouraged to ask questions, make connections, and develop a deeper understanding of the language and culture.

The location was perfect for us, lovely teachers they dedicated their time and love in their teaching. My son had a wonderful term learning mandarin, just after few classes he understood colours and greetings, he had zero foundation. Highly recommended for those looking to start learning mandarin.

It has been a great experience for our kids to learn mandarin at Pistachio. They provide a superb environment suitable for non Chinese speaking learners and this made our kids feel very comfortable in class. Our kids have shown a great interest in Chinese. We are looking forward to the years to come and for our kids to grow with the teachers and Centre.

I’ve been studying with Pistachio Mandarin for just over a term now, and I’ve been really enjoying my introduction to the language. As a complete beginner I was a little intimidated, but that soon diminished after learning how supportive Yatchun is, and how well-structured the class is. The group class is interactive and puts emphasis on everyday conversational skills, which develops confidence in being able to use the language in a relevant and realistic way. I also appreciate how we practice using Mandarin to celebrate cultural events that happen throughout the year. Furthermore, Rachael is a great teacher - I find her explanations to be very thorough, and she will never hesitate to answer any questions we might have.I look forward to developing my Mandarin skills further, in the hopes of one day becoming fluent!

What a great experience to study Mandarin with Pistachio centre, Rachel laoshi was fēicháng hǎo and we had lots of fun with her during each Ke. Xie Xie ni laoshi Rachel and Yatchun what a great experience we had. Looking forward to continue our studies.

My experience with Pistachio Mandarin was incredible!About 5 years ago, I spent 6 months in Beijing but didn't learn any Mandarin there (except a handful of words). So after a few years of being curious about the language, and knowing I want to go back to China one day, I decided to learn the basics of the language.Over 12 months, I learned so much. And could really notice my progress through each lesson.What I loved about Pistachio is the care and commitment that goes into both the lessons themselves and the overall framework that guides how lessons are run.
