Otahuna Lodge
We had our wedding at Otahuna, and it was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was impressed by the venue and its beautiful rolling grounds. The service staff were highly trained and very professional. Otahuna helped us with a lot of the planning for the wedding and connected us with some great suppliers. The food was exquisite. All made on site from fresh local ingredients. The breakfast was wonderful as well, there isn't a menu, the just made whatever we felt like eating!

Sublime, beyond reproach, elegant and awe inspiring. These are just some of the words that a 2 day stay at Otahuna Lodge inspires. The owners Miles and Hall have lovingly restored and updated this grand old lady, creating something to behold. we did not go inside..we had a guided tour. Although raining a bit..we enjoyed the four..the private section where fun actions like weddings can be held. Vege garden area show healthy growing veges etc. Such a good feel wandering about here.

Beautiful hideaway near Christchurch.Such an intimate feel, upon arrival the owners of this exquisite house greet you at the driveway, as if your coming to visit family. Refreshing drinks, and friendly conversations.Excellent cuisine all around, and even the most excellence in staff. Thank you for such a fabulous short stay. Would definitely return for a longer stay.House can accommodate 10 - 15 quite comfortably. A girls trip to this location in the future, for some RNR, is a must.

My wife and I have just had a wedding here and the service was incredible, the best in Canterbury. The rooms are stunning and food was wonderful. All the staff are so nice. Thank you so much. We will be back.Please stay a night you’ll love it.

Weve been lucky to experience a lunch at Otahuna, complete with garden tour last Sunday. Outstanding service, extraordinary food cooked to perfection from produce grown in their own garden, perfectly paired with wine. Seated outside on a lovely summer day with good friends. Well done Otahuna lodge.

From the moment you arrive until you are fondly farewelled (and I promise you won’t want to leave), the hospitality shown by the amazing Otahuna team is truly second to none. Couple that with exquisite interiors, immaculate grounds and beautiful food that is thoughtfully prepared (with much of the produce grown in their own garden) then matched with delicious local wines, and you have all the ingredients for an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a special getaway that is luxurious without being pretentious, you’ve found it. We highly recommend a stay at Otahuna.
