Stephen/Ferrymead Film is one of a kind... I've shot film for the past 5 years and have never come across a man so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He is a true wizard when it comes to turnaround time for scans... I am talking mere hours for 5 or 10 roll drop-offs... I am used to weeks back in the states!! Not to mention the high quality of the scans + low costs. None can do it better. I always pick up my negatives in person at a later date (scans are emailed to me so I have them instantly) and they are always flawlessly organised and much appreciated. Stephen has a mighty fine establishment and I always look forward to stopping in to chat with him about the film community here in Christchurch and/or any questions I have about anything film related. Below are all photos of mine which Stephen has developed here in Ferrymead - superb! I look forward to seeing where Ferrymead Film goes in the next few years with Stephen at the helm putting in the hard work and time necessary to make a film shop successful. 11/10!

Fast, friendly and the best scans that I have received while traveling NZ so far. Can't recommend them enough especially as they are about $5 cheaper than anywhere else in Christchurch

Took 4 rolls of film here to get developed before my flight home. They did it in just a few hours, and the scans are beautifullllll. Also super affordable. I’ve had my film developed in several places in the US and NZ, and Ferrymead Film has impressed me the most. If you’re local, please support this awesome lab. If not, consider shipping your film to them. It would be absolutely worth it.

The quickest and easiest service not to mention affordable compared to others! Less than 24hours and I had the 2 film rolls I dropped off in my hot hands!

I've had a great experience working with Ferrymead Film. At this point I've had both B&W, and colour film processed and scanned by these guys, and I'm very happy with the results. Super quick turnarounds on the colour, and black and white processed once a week on Thursdays.Affordable and excellent services, including helpful feedback on exposure of my negatives.I highly recommend them for all of your 35mm and 120 film needs!
