St Mary of the Angels

Lovely Church. I like the services here - well planned and it's always full of people.

I used to frequent St Mary of the Angels to attend the weekly liturgy in my heyday as a VUW student. Sometimes, I would go there just to contemplate the future, or seek spiritual refuge. Being away from home was challenging at the time.The church is located on the corner of Boulcott Street and O'Reily Avenue in Wellington, New Zealand. It is the parish church for Wellington Central and one of the major churches of the city. The church is classified as a special or outstanding historical or cultural heritage significance. So, it's worth a visit, especially if you're a practising Roman Catholic.St Mary of the Angels is also renowned for its Gregorian Chant used in liturgies.

I'm not a Roman Catholic; went to Mass with family who are. Very imposing building. I had difficulty hearing despite aids in both ears - a lot of echoing. Better sound control may help attendees.

I don't why we need to review Churches. Is it as if one place sends more souls to heaven than the rest? Otherwise, this is a really beautiful church. Priests are really accomodating, nice and friendly.

Never been in either buildings, but an awesome juxaposition

Lovely older church (for someone who’s home church was built in the 1989s).Good sermons, impressive choir for the 11am Sunday Mass, but be prepared for Latin hymns, Gloria, creed etc. The rest of the Mass is in English.

Lovely Roman Catholic church.. Centrally located very close to Courtney Place.. Beautiful and serene church.. Felt very peaceful.. They conduct a mass at 5.15pm everyday in the Roman Catholic rite..

The Adoration of Eucharist was so touched. A simply beatiful Roman Catholic Church!
